Another item I got from my Sephora Play subscription. This is the second foundation from tarte that I’ve tried. I received two samples of their Rainforest of the Sea foundation. It was nice, but I did not like the coverage. It was too sheer for my liking. And the consistency was too watery. It’s only suitable to be worn during the cold months. I like this foundation better. I love this @tartecosmetics Foundcealer foundation! I was color matched to it at @Sephora and i use 16B Fair-Light-Beige. It matches my skin tone perfectly. I actually tried this because of my friend @haleysbeautymess she wears it and i like her check-ins about it so i got it a few months ago. I’m super late posting about it but i love it. • • It’s a medium buildable coverage that doesn’t magnify my fine lines. This #Foundcealer is so light that i forget its on. So far this one bottle has lasted me for quite some time. I highly recommend giving it a try from #Sephora. Not only will they color match you for the right shade but they give you a little jar of it to sample. • • I love this foundation too because it’s hydrating and doesn’t irritate my skin. The SPF 20 is super helpful also. My skin is flawless when i have this on. It gives me an even clean base to work with, balancing out the beige, and red tones in my face. Tarte Maracujá Miracle Foundcealer
My mother-in-law actually bought this for me last christmas, and it has literally changed my life. First off the packaging was to die for, heavy duty glass bottle with a button dropper. The dropper had me at hello! Tarte created a holy grail product which is a 2-in-1 foundation & concealer. I didn’t know that was even possible. Its like a dream come true! I was a little skeptical that this would actually concealer anything.
I was lost for words when I didn’t have to use a concealer for covering up any of my dark circles or uneven skin tone. The Foundcealer has a thick and creamy consistency to it. But even though it is a bit on the heavier side it does blend out easily. The Foundcealer is medium coverage, all most full coverage. But I’m seriously obsessed with the satin-velvet finish. This Foundcealer is amazing because it brightens and evens out my skin tone. It is sometimes unbelievable how flawless my make up looks with 10 hours of wear. I was impressed how hydrated my skin is while wearing this Foundcealer. I have normal to dry combination and usually I get dry patches especially in the winer, but with this formula not once did my face feel dry.
I have 2 complaints about this Foundcealer. One, is that if I needed to cover acne or any scarring, I had to use a separate concealer. This was only amazing at concealer dark circles and uneven skin tone. Second, the Foundcealer smelled awful. It smelled like permanent maker. Luckily the smell doesn’t last long at all, it immediately goes away after I applied it.
I honestly I still love this Foundcealer and I can live with the complaints. I hope more brands come out with a 2-in-1!
