1) Upon the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in 2013, Fandom Forward launched the Odds in Our Favor campaign against economic inequality, highlighting unemployment, food insecurity, and the intersection of income inequality and white supremacy.
2) In 2016, wizard activists completed 1,225 actions to support the trans community, emulating “Protego,” a powerful shield spell in the Harry Potter Series. Fandom Forward also created and uplifted a variety of resources for these trans activists and allies, including a virtual Marauders Map of gender neutral bathrooms.
3) In response to I.C.E. announcing major immigration raids across the country in July 2019, Fandom Forward brought activists from RAICES, Never Again Action, and Boston Immigration Justice Accompaniment Network to national Harry Potter conventions to teach fans how to take action for immigrant rights.
