            "this is a very interesting protection spell you have there," diana didn't need to take a longer look to figure out what bonnie was working on. in a way, it was … simple which was interesting to diana because she was not used to such type of things. the spells she learned usually had some kind of twist. a combination of two completely opposite things. it rarely happened that a spell directly addressed its purpose.

            "are you trying to protect something?", diana asked because she couldn't come up with another reason of why she would need a protection spell.

                                                                 The coiled muscles in Klaus’ back have Hayley taking the necessary steps to close up behind him, one hand curling around his shoulder. She puts pressure into it but not entirely ( not only ) to restrain; to soothe and calm and reassure. I’m here, it’s fine, we’ll get through this. Over his shoulder, she sees realization chase disbelief over her pack’s faces as it drops that she isn’t just with Klaus, she’s with Klaus. It’s an ache, a throbbing pain in her chest and throat, but  —

         apparently, there was a person who claimed to be family. it had taken a few days (if not a week or two) until that news reached elijah because rebekah initially didn't deem it as important to share these novelties. he didn't blame his younger sister though because that person was nothing but another imposter in elijah's eyes.

        although rarely, it had happened in the past. there had been people who claimed to be him, his brother, or his sister. his family themselves made some people believe they were them in order to give a false lead.

        but there are also those who believe they could gain protection and scare their enemies off if they're using his family name. of course, this disguise did not last long and was doomed to fail.

        the only thing that did catch elijah's attention was the fact that this person doesn't claim to be a known mikaelson but their older sister and was also a witch. all the previous imposters were vampires. a witch that wanted to draw a connection to his family was an entirely new constellation.

        because of this, elijah decided to travel back to new orleans in order to observe this mysterious witch – without his family's knowledge. he's not keen on letting them know he's in the area because there's a reason why he decided to leave and settle in europe.

        from what he gathered and saw himself from afar, this person liked to dance around his family, especially around niklaus. of course, her attempts with niklaus were fruitless although it was hard to really put together the motivation for her claim because he paid attention to not revealing himself and not being seen. one day, however, his alleged sister did notice him, forcing him to interact with her.

        his expression didn't give away any emotion, in fact, he remained perfectly indifferent.

        "the most dangerous person is the one who listens, thinks, and observes. i admittedly did watch you but i was only mirroring your own actions which lead me to believe it is you who owes me an explanation." he narrowed his eyes as he stepped closer to the blond person.

        "i assume i don't need to introduce myself, hm?"

if anyone had told landon kirby that one day he would be kissing lizzie saltzman? well he’d think you must actually be a demigorgon in disguise. he is still fully in the belief that they exist, it wasn’t that far of a catch. but here he is, they’ve just finished watching the sam raimi spider-man trilogy and lizzie, probably joking, had mentioned wishing she could kiss someone the way mj and peter had with their epic kiss in the rain. and well, what lizzie saltzman wants? she gets. especially when her boyfriend? they haven’t quite made things solid. but landon has always been one to make the object of his affection happy. so here he lies across his bed, blood rushing to his head as he hangs half way off of it, back not exactly loving the position as lizzie leans in slowly. and maybe there isn’t any rain, but damn she’s smiling in that way that tells him how satisfied she is and that’s all that really matters. slightly cold hands cup his cheeks, or maybe he is over heating, and then lips meet lips. it’s awkward at first, neither having kissed at this angle before, but then it smoothes out and it feels natural. and maybe it isn’t cinematically accurate and maybe he is close to passing out. but lizzie is happy, enjoying herself. and landon will gladly be her spider-man any day. though he should point out she is more canonically a gwen stacey.

         Despite the smiles and devil-may-care attitude that Adrian showed outwardly, transferring to the Salvatore School had been hard for him. He never had a problem making friends everywhere he went, but everyone was so different from him now. He didn’t have a single fellow Moroi in the entire school, no one to keep him grounded in something that felt normal. He’d even take a dhampir companion at this point. It seemed that while most schools had their typical cliques, this one centered around whether you were a vampire, witch, or werewolf. Anyone who didn’t fit neatly into any of those categories simply didn’t belong. As a living vampire who could do magic, Adrian was struggling to find his place. Which was a very new experience for the boy who usually the most popular anywhere he went.

After striking out with the witches, Adrian retreated to the study, sitting on the leather couch in front of the fire. That’s when he heard the unexpected voice. Turning, green eyes settled on one of the werewolves. The alpha, if he remembered correctly.  ❝ Jed, right ? You uh –– - ❞  He struggled to comprehend the intensely sweet words that the handsome man had thrown his way.  ❝ Are the wolves always so sentimental ? ❞  He smirked, putting on his usual mask of bravado.  ❝ You don’t have to worry about me. I’m many things, but invisible sure as hell ain’t one of them. ❞
