Deborah Butterfield’s creative process and found object sculptures reminds me of reannechid's and my House of Books, but on a larger scale. Both works utilised found objects as mediums and created works that not only challenge preconceived notions of sculpture and a material’s purpose but also changed the concept of the objects used. From books to building blocks and wood to . With their changed meaning they provided a whole new purpose and created an entirely new “thing”.
