Improved demand trends raises sodium tripolyphosphate prices

Ahmedabad's Petrochem secoures have reported a rise in sodium tripolyphosphate prices. The price rise indicates a supply crunch resulting in higher costs of the commodity. Prices are expected to rise further in the coming days. The imported price for sodium tripolyphosphate in Ahmedabad on March 31, 2023, was Rs.125/Kg, a Rs.2/Kg increase against the previous price of Rs.123/Kg.

POP polyether 5613 demand picks up in Delhi

An elevated trend is noticed in POP polyether 5613 prices. Reports of improved demand trends supported the price rise in the Delhi market. On March 31, 2023, POP polyether 5613 imported intact prices in Delhi were assessed at Rs.140/Kg, a rise of Rs.2/Kg, from the previous price of Rs.138/Kg.

Low THF 99.90% prices as demand falters

On March 31, 2023, tetrahydrofuran was quoted lower in the Delhi market. Prices fell on the back of weak regional demand trends.The current tetrahydrofuran imported intact prices went down from Rs.232/Kg to Rs.230/Kg.

Hazira sees a spike in styrene monomer prices

On March 27, 2023, the styrene monomer market in Hazira witnessed a rise in prices today, with continuous tight product availability being the key driver of the surge. Reports of improved demand trends also contributed to the price hike in the market. 

According to market reports, styrene monomer imported tanker load prices was assessed at Rs.94/Kg today, marking a spike of Rs.4/Kg from the last price of Rs.90/Kg. The sudden increase in prices has left many industry experts and traders concerned about the potential impact on downstream industries.

Phosphorus oxychloride prices gain in Mumbai

On January 3, 2023, phosphorus oxychloride  prices were pushed higher in the Mumbai market. The sharp price rise was triggered by continuous tight product availability. Reports of improved demand trends also supported the price rise in the Mumbai market. Today, phosphorus oxychloride domestic intact prices were assessed at Rs.125/Kg, a spike of Rs.2/Kg, from the last price of Rs.123/Kg.

Benzene prices were assessed lower in the Vizag market today. A fluctuation in prices has been noticed in the imported market. According to Petrochem sources, on January 3, 2023, a weak regional demand led to a price fall. Today benzene imported tanker load prices at Vizag went down from Rs.69/Kg to Rs.64/Kg, a cut of Rs.5/Kg.

Acrylonitrile prices move sharply south

A sharp fall in acrylonitrile prices in the imported market of Mumbai was recorded today. Weak regional demand coupled with excess supply led to the price fall. Petrochem sources confirmed that acrylonitrile prices would, however, maintain a balanced trend within the next few days. On January 3, 2023,  acrylonitrile prices in Mumbai went down from Rs.175/Kg to Rs.170/Kg, a slip of Rs.5/Kg.
