i hate four with a burning passion. he’s an insufferable little cunt who abused his contestants that was later made to seem sympathetic but it was done in a way that just made him even more annoying. and tpot 20 really solidified my long, long, LONG history of hatred towards him because four trapping one was what REALLY tipped her over the edge. if he hadn’t done that, the world wouldn’t’ve been destroyed, and he still would’ve had his powers.

I know that One couldn't have watched BFB for plot reasons, but I REALLY wish she did cause it would've fully exposed how much of a hypocrite Four is.

"You're too dangerous, I have to trap you in the moon to protect X!" He says before using his powers to abuse anyone that upsets him, INCLUDING X.

"Whatdya mean 14 years of isolation didn't help you reflect on your mistakes???" They say after they quit hosting BFB to sit in their head and complain about how lonely they are, and nothing gets resolved until the other characters confront/comfort them.

Four wanted to do the right thing. When One killed Three he did thought trapping her in the Moon would help her learn, and held onto the power because he thought he would be more responsible with it, but he couldn't have been more wrong. After all, he didn't learn anything from his isolation in Post-Split and abused his power in Pre-Split. One would've been the perfect character to call Four out on this because she was the biggest victim of it. Imagine being forced to endure your worst fear for years because someone thought it was for the best or you were too dangerous, then see that same person be a threat to others and whine about how awful it is to be alone. The scene where One traps Four in the Moon for revenge could've been the ultimate wake-up call. The moment Four realized he was wrong to assume he knew better, that his punishment only made things worse and he was a hypocrite to assume otherwise. (Also I know he thought about giving One a second chance, but it means nothing because he didn't change anything. It's funny how they could see that with One's actions, but not their own)

This point doesn't fit anywhere else but the idea of "put them away until the problem disapears" also hurt Three. Four put her in the fourest to protect her, but what he actually did was isolate her from her friends. Imagine that happening to you after being disfigured. Would it make you feel protected, or broken? Considering that Three stays in the prison when she could probably go anywhere, I doubt it's the former.

I’m sorry, but I’m REALLY starting to get pissed off by the algebraliens. Why is the secondary species in a show about OBJECTS getting all the focus??If they want to make an algebralien show, then they absolutely can, but BFDI is meant to centre around the CONTESTANTS.And the COMPETITION.

Yet, the previous hosts + a bunch of random fuckers that aren’t connected to the contestants OR the show are the ones getting all the focus.Just.WHY????

One is an over dramatic villain with the most cookie cutter backstory in history, Two was actually okay and interacted with the contestants well, so OF COURSE the writers fucking sidelined them.

Nobody gives a shit about Three, Four was somewhat alright before they attempted to redeem him in BFB and then make him a piece of shit immediately after for no reason.X has literally zero personality outside of being Four’s friend.

And all the others have mildly discernible personality traits from each other, with maybe the exception of Nine, who’s actually pretty entertaining (and gets fucking killed in TPOT 20), and pretty much no connection to the main story.

Tell me, why should ANY of these characters get priority over the bright, entertaining cast of contestants, some of which have been underutilised for YEARS?

I think people forget that violence in BFDI works VERY differently from real life; the characters barely care when they get killed or injured, it’s considered pretty normal, and they’re only mildly annoyed when someone murders them.

So no, Patrick, as much as I dislike Four, him killing X/sending him to the burn centre is not akin to real life abuse.

I’ve started to dislike Four more and more, to the point where he’s become one of my least favourite characters

He’s got to be one of, if not, THE worst written character in the show

First he’s terrifying, then he starts to become nice and gets redeemed at the end of BFB (these first two aren’t a problem, he simply had redemption)

but then he goes straight back to his old ways in TPOT, keeping the EXITors trapped despite what he learned in BFB 30, and killing people once again

then in TPOT 19-20 we’re suddenly meant to care and feel bad for him again, and aww poor wittle baby expwerienced the consequences of his actions for trapping and huwting pweople!!(this exact plot line was already explored in BFB and he was already meant to be fucking redeemed by now)

His personality just becomes so inconsistent, and so much never gets explained

Was his torture of X in early BFB all for show?Does he truly care about the contestants?Was his terrifying nature at the start just acting so he could look cool in front of the contestants?Why does he relapse back into his old ways so hard?Why is he so set on keeping the EXITors trapped, even with his development?

All questions that NEVER GET ANSWERED!

This is the reason I hate TPOT 11 so much; it would’ve genuinely been so much better AND easier to just say that he released the EXITors after BFB 30, that way his development could’ve further been shown and kept

But instead, they gave him a hard reset and he’s back to being bitchy, cruel and unreasonable, and THEN flip back around AGAIN?!AM I MEANT TO LIKE HIM OR NOT??HE’S NOT EVEN MORALLY GREY OR ANYTHING IT’S LIKE ONE MOMENT HE’S NICE AND THE NEXT HE’S AN ASSHOLE!!

This probably sounds way too ranty, and I might sound pretty obnoxious right now, but damn am I still mad about his development being lost, and getting madder and sadder about by the day 😞✌️

Four ruined BFDI - Full stop

Not only did he get away with so much horrendous shit, but he and the algebraliens pretty much took the fucking spotlight after a while

I despite Four with every fiber of my being
