Nastasha: A cardboard box... A cardboard box usually consists of a thin pasteboard with a corrugated paper center. They are usually made of recycled paper. It was first invented in Europe, over a hundred years ago. It was originally used to absorb one’s sweat when wearing hats. With the same amount of wood to make one wooden box, you can make six or seven cardboard boxes, and since it’s recyclable, it’s highly economical. In addition, it’s strong and easy to store. That’s why it’s widely used for packing. But to avoid damaging weapons and other delicate instruments when shipping them, they should be packed in stronger boxes, like wood or something. Also, the crevices should be filled with styrofoam to prevent them from moving around. So, anyway, what’s with the box?

Funny how the people in my grade, 2-3 times my age, love to complain about how lazy/ignorant our generation is... but are always relying on the grade I get them during ‘group’ assignments.

Group being a euphemism for, ‘we, the older two-subject students are going to spend the ENTIRE time complaining about how hard university is and how we never have time... while you, the four-subject/full-time student with literally twice as many assignments as us, do all the work... and when you’re done, we’ll put our names on the front’.

Group being a euphemism for, ‘Oh look, we got a High/Distinction! What a good team we make! See what you/r generation can achieve if they just put some effort into it... you’ll turn out alright, with role models like us!’ 

...funny how this keeps happening, year after year, and these people who are trained to analyse human behaviour, speech and development... can’t catch the irony in their own statements.
