Where to July/Aug of 2019???

After last year’s… injury we decided to try to make a go for the HST [High Sierra Trail], however, it seems that the popularity of it has been so great that in less than 12 hours ALL permits for the trail, were taken. 😦

We were NOT discouraged and after attending a class at REI in March, we found a gem of a trail that is about the same length AND it even joins the HST about half way. Intrigued?…

Gear is prepped!!!

Only a few days until we hit the trail. Over the weekend we got things together! Sorry, no pics of the amount of food we crammed into our bear canisters, they were 9lbs each and full!

Clothing, water shoes, Bear canisters, first aid kit, everything is ready to go!

We have not weighted our packs yet, we have water bottles to add and a few last minute things such as ID, permit, etc.

REI Garage Sale 12.30.17
