Okay, so she may or may not have just found about a cat cafe, and she may or may not be lounging around inside. It’s been a stressful few weeks, so she’s looking for any distraction she can get. Bears are her favorite animal, but cats are plenty cute too! Enough to make her feel better, at least.

Molly sits down on the rug holding a warm cup of hot chocolate, trying to get the attention of some cats walking around. She succeeds at first, but they all start moving to a man sitting in the corner, waving a toy around.

All of them are flocking over to him! It’s honestly pretty impressive, and she can’t help but watch as he entertains them with ease. She sips on her drink, making herself comfortable as she decides to stay quiet. He looks pretty focused! She wouldn’t want to distract him.

so since ichimatsu has a cat, i was trying to think of the most rational pet shadow would have????? i guess a dragon would have to do.

Deep breaths, Osomatsu. You got this! 12:55, you’re still early. He clutches his CV in his hands, staring determinedly at the tall building. He’s landed an interview, somehow, and he had a good feeling, despite everything. It had been long enough since he’d come here, and he knew that he wasn’t going to live off of he occasional gambling winnings. Choromatsu had talked his ear off enough, and with no other brothers here to convince him otherwise, Osomatsu had come to the conclusion that he was right after all. He really did need a j--

Wait, that can’t be who he thinks it is, can it? Looking into that pet store window across the street--

In a flash he’s already crumpled up the resume and hurried across the street to pat his brother on the shoulder, no doubt startling him enough to jump a mile across the street. 

“Ichimatsu-chan! Wanna go play pachinko? I won big yesterday, I think I’m on a lucky streak!” So much for that job interview.

In a strange way, Karamatsu was able to tell that he wasn’t the only one of the sextuplets to have ended up in Koi. Maybe it was just inborn...the six of them had been together for so long, after all. It was still much more fun to think of it as some kind of amazing superpower, though. Karamatsu sense...he liked the sound of that.

He traveled around Koi, keeping an eye out for anyone who looked exactly like him - and, of course, for any Karamatsu Girls. Eventually, he stumbled upon someone he’d recognize anytime and anywhere. While his younger brother would probably not be happy to see him, Karamatsu could hardly contain his joy.

“Oh! My little Ichimatsu! Brother!!!“ He ran to the fourth-born son, twirling and striking a triumphant pose. “It has been so long, hasn’t it? But fear not...you will see plenty of Karamatsu from here on out. Heh...I will heal the wounds of separation.“

          Most of the brothers (more like most people) were rather awkward around Ichimatsu, but not the first-born. Though that may very well from stemmed from him feeling responsible for the five of them, despite how he usually brought more trouble than assistance. He liked to think that he got along well enough with the fourth-born, despite not knowing what the cat lover thought of him. Then again, nobody really knew if Ichimatsu liked them.            Of course, Osomatsu knew how to strike a conversation with the purple clad. It wasn’t as difficult for him as it was for other people. He had a feeling that Ichimatsu wasn’t as heartless as he pretended to be.           “Ichimatsu, did you know that your cat treats are gone?” How did the eldest know that? It was better not to ask. As it was well-known at this point that Osomatsu had a weird habit of eating cat treats. Hey, he couldn’t help what tasted good, alright? But he knew that he hadn’t finished eating all the treats. He had the suspicion that Ichimatsu had moved them somewhere else. He was kinda hoping he could trick him into saying where he had hidden them.

“Cat Steven! Cat Steven, where did you go?” Damn it! Sapphire had left Ruby to watch the cat for only a minute, and in that minute, Ruby had managed to lose the tiny, one-eyed calico. The gem was desperately calling for her as she wandered around outside the house, hoping she’d find her before Sapphire got home. 

Noticing someone walking nearby, she called out to them. “Excuse me! Have you seen my cat? She, um, only has one eye! Her name’s Cat Steven!”

   Goodness, when was the last time the pair had met? It’s been a while, hasn’t it? With his time spent here in the city, Choromatsu had grown used to the sight of his eldest brother, Osomatsu, and everyone else in this weird new city. So to see someone else with his own face again? He had to make sure he wasn’t seeing things again... Or if he wasn’t seeing his ghost like last time. Taking care to follow his shaggy counterpart, Choromatsu watched as he walked around with seemingly no planned direction. He may as well bite the bullet and call out to him. “Ahh... I-ichimatsu?”

   It’s not really the 1st meeting he wanted to have with him, but in all honesty, even though the pair of them had gotten better with their interactions with one another, there was still that awkward first meeting feeling. “Ichimatsu!” Catching up now, he reaches out to touch his back, but instead recoils, waiting for him to turn around instead. He’s done enough trying to get his attention. Just touching him out of nowhere would make it a bit much, wouldn’t it?

“Shoo, shoo! Ginchan isn’t a charity you already got your fill!” Normally he wasn’t one to feed the wildlife but a lonely chord struck him this evening to pinch off his piece of fried chicken at the mewling kitten now following him around. The thing pissed him off with its scruffy white coat and beady little devil eyes trying to hypnotize him into showing it attention. To the point of continually prancing in front of him and laying down in his path exposing it’s little soft tummy for the last block, over and over, he could feel he wasn’t going to last long to its enticement. 

“Listen here! Ginchan is also a stray, living on the wildside, but he doesn’t ask for handouts! He lives on his own and feeds himself, be independent!” The cat simply meowed in response, rubbing furiously against his boot. Gintoki scowled. Scanning his surroundings of the edge of the local park he spotted a purple hoodie-wearing loaf one of the benches. He looked unkempt, probably covered in filth from never leaving his mother’s house, easily gullible. “Listen here Koneko-chan, I’m a nice guy so I’ll help you just this once.”

Gintoki sat down on the opposite end of the bench, looking like the dictionary definition of inconspicuous. In a swift moment, he scooted closer, like knees rubbing close. “...Hey, I got some of that stuff.” Out from his kimono, he pulled out a fast food box, one that formerly contained his chicken but now wiggled with something livelier. “Come on kid, it’s good, that good shit. You can’t find it anywhere else, I’ll even give you a free taste, come on.” He forcibly nudged the box into this guy’s arms.
