Next curve ball: Fox/Echo/Fives and the word 'promise'

This one hurts.

"Don't make a promise you can't keep." Fives's words haunt Fox every day after the day he can'r remember. He learns from hushed angry whispers that he'd killed his lover.

Fox doesn't know why he's surprised to fall in love with Echo, Fives's first love, when all is said and done. He tries to tell Echo the truth about what happened to Fives so many times, but every time he tries, Echo brushes him off.

Neither of them expects to find Fives alive and mostly well... except he doesn't recognize either of them.
