♡ It’s really quite a surprise how Fox and his partner would get together, as Fox would really be quite cynical and straightforward and just tired of all the bullshit (considering he’s dealing with scheming senators and corruption all day and every day). But I think he would be especially attracted to them because they’re different — they are very naive and truly a pure heart and much unlike who he typically deals with. Although it is necessarily love at first sight nor would he act like he would treat them any different at first — he’s certainly intrigued by them and is sure to keep tabs on them (especially under the so called and genuine concern for their safety). And the longer he grows to know them and how truly and deeply sensitive and gentle they are, slowly his barriers are broken down as well, though he is always on guard, because he’s the commander of the Coruscant Guard after all. But the roughened and hard hearted veteran can’t help but be attracted to them and their gentleness, even if he tries telling himself that it would never work out. He wouldn’t forgive himself if he pulled them into a life of danger and constantly near death but at the same time he cannot quite resist their allure.
♡ Despite their gentleness, they’re very much willing to take the risks against their life in order to be with him. He would find that they are surprisingly strong and willing to do anything and just seeing how genuine they are and how they truly want to be with him — well that would seal the deal for him (the hard hearted cynic has a surprising soft side to him), even if the more logical side is screaming at him that he needs to be careful with them. And he would take each and every precaution with them, making sure that they are safe and practically fussing over them — it’s rather amusing for them to watch and they do enjoy teasing him over it. Though they truly assure him that although they are gentle in nature and sensitive, they are able to defend themselves if necessary, because they don’t want to worry him whenever there’s other pressing matters at hand. While Fox truly believes them and appreciates their assurances, he can’t help but be extra cautious and protective around them. He wouldn’t know what to do with himself if even the smallest touch of harm would befall his partner, it would utterly shatter the perfectly controlled commander.
♡ Fox finds that he has to tone down his bluntness and his brute honesty when it comes to them, even if they do not particular argue with one another. Well, it's not that they are directly complaining about his honesty and bluntness themselves, because they ultimately know it is in his nature and they love each and every thing about him, but Fox realizes he needs to be a touch more gentler in his words when he's around them. Although they always reassure him that he needs not change for them, he can't help recall that one of their first interactions together was when he warned them to be more aware of their surroundings and that they looked as if they were going to tear up. But his efforts really goes to show he truly cares about them and their feelings and how much he takes them into consideration (when he would never ever consider doing this for anyone else). Although he's not likely to admit it unless in the most private of moments with them, he most enjoys seeing a peaceful and gentle smile on their face, because when they are happy, he cannot help but be happy as well (they have such a contagious smile and laughter after all).
♡ Although he is still very skilled at maintaining a very professional image and manner among his brothers and his superiors, he becomes noticeably more protective if his partner happens to be in the picture. Perhaps one day his partner could merely be passing by and he would tell his unit to be extra vigilant towards any threats that are around or scold them for looking at them for a moment too long (which is normal for any passerby, but he's noticeably impassioned about it, so they would definitely pick up on it). eventually one they had figured out what's happening, there would be a lot of teasing and comments about it, especially to see if their commander would lose control (although his cheeks do darken a few shades, he never grants them the satisfaction of seeing his expressions of the emotions he feels on the inside). Those in his unit would most likely be very surprised about how fox and his partner get along, considering they are very opposite in personality, though they'd most definitely believe in how genuine he is in his efforts to make them happy and to share as happy of a life they are able to share together. and of course they are all in support of the two of them, even if fox forces them not to say a word.
♡ In truth is it a very difficult life, between his duties to the republic and not being able to spend as much time as he'd like with them, but he regrets not a single thing when it comes to them. Certainly h does not regret falling for the allure of their gentleness and how they share an absolutely happy life whenever they have the time (and even he doesn't regret the tattoo he has gotten of them, even if he hasn't uttered a word about it outside of their ears). The only thing that he does regret is that they aren't able to share a life together that is ideal and he thinks that they deserve so much better, but they are always assure him that they wouldn't have it any other way (always with lots of reassuring kisses and affection). For once is Fox shows his own sensitive side, something that he only dares show around his partner, and slowly does he tell them of his insecurities and his fears, and they are only too happy to comfort him and provide him the same support that he has long provided the. Although the two of them made for a very 'opposite' pair, they are truly very happy together in the end (even with some teasing by his brothers).

MOSTLY if he's had a bad day. he loves cuddling with you and be the small spoon. his favorite times are at night when he comes home from a long shift and collapses onto you after he showers quickly, your fingers on his hair and his head on your chest as he listens to you read whatever book you're currently reading. whenever he thinks of home, he thinks in this exact scenario.
i feel like, during very very though days, maybe when he loses a brother (that doesn't happen thAt usual unless there's something like, a fucking gigantic animal trying to destroy both Coruscant and the chancellor or that kind of stuff) and he would feel this lump in his throat that only tightens when he feels you squeeze him in your arms, and kiss the top of his head but he also feels so relieved because you're there, with him, and when you whisper that you're not going anywhere he just, feels like he was falling only to be catched by you.

at first he was very apprehensive because he didn't really want to mix his work and his love life, and if thorn or anyone found out he would nEVER hear the end of it. (they eventually did find out and always tease them but I'll talk about this later).

he always comes home with whatever is missing from your fridge or this one candy you love so much, and he always makes caf for you before heading out, he likes to pass by the medbay or wherever you're working at a minute or so before your shift ends just so you can go home together.
he doesn't like pda and is very Private but like I said before, he will always be ready to help you if you need him.
this one time you fell sick very badly and he stopped by almost every few hours and commed you every hour to make sure you were alright. you got slightly annoyed but you found very endearing how much he cares for you. besides, you were rEALLY ill, so yeah.
and let's not forget that one time he was on patrol close to your apartment and you commed him to ask him if he knew where the flour was or whatever (truth was you just wanted to hear his voice bc you were feeling down and wanted to cheer yourself up.) and he caught on your sad tone and well, the point is that he ended up going all the way to your place just to give you a soft kiss on your lips, shrugging and saying something like "I forgot my comnlink" because clones can't lie for shit but he didn't want to tell you he couldn't focus in his job if you were sad:(

originally born as a spirit fox, a basic but mischievous creature of the spirit world, he spent centuries gathering enough power and magic to gain a more physical form, becoming a basic apparition, and then a demon during this time. the trickster behavior typical of kitsunes never quite left youko kurama, as even as he grew stronger and tended to become more selfish and dangerous in nature, he was still light hearted to friends, and known to be quite the dry-toned jokester when time called for it.
known as a bit of a changeling, a not-real demon to some demons, however, caused him to become more ruthless in nature. like hiei, his code of honor is complex, but not enough to permit him to be kind to those he viewed as lower in the caste (unlike hiei). he fought too long, far too hard, to get the point where he was, and he wasn’t allowed to let other demons call him weak or a simple spirit ever again.
his unsympathetic and perfected persona of danger incarnate was enough for, after time, demons to start - quite literally in some causes - fall over themselves at chances to become a part of his crew, because to be apart of his crew meant spoils forever, and a reputation that was envied even in the demon world.
youko ruled his bandit crew with an iron fist. there were rules even among thieves, and to cross them was to face certain death, this much is evident by yomi’s fate. youko’s own lieutenant’s failure to learn how to balance impulsive nature with precise and measured thoughts/plans led to the death of more than a few of the kitsune’s people, which then lead to an assassination attempt that left the other demon blind and permanently retired from youko’s crew.
but to say he was heartless is a cold untruth. youko’s closest partner in crime, his final partner in crime, was a chimera demon named kuronue. if demons have hearts, if demons have souls, then kuronue owned youko’s. and kuronue’s death broke youko in a way that he never quite recovered from, with every theft afterwards being sloppy. his death, in a way, led to the almost demise of youko himself, and it was only because of pure instinct that the kitsune was able to find a way into the human world and therefore a second life.
years later, even bound in a fleshy human form, kurama is probably the most ruthless creature in existence, at least in the human world. any kindness he extends to strangers is meant to disarm, and only those that know him (the spirit detective team and their kin) are exempt from this behavior. with the team, his politeness is carefully balanced with unmerciful behavior and cunning humor, and though his friendship and loyalty are second to none, he will not hold back if facing one of his friends, either in battle or sparring.
kurama is a complicated creature, perhaps more so than any other members of the team. he is hard to read, harder than even the secretive hiei, and with a reputation like his - that has survived even his disappearance - he is someone that you should avoid crossing.
so hear me out andrew has a photographic memory right? just imagine smol grumpy andrew minyard being dragged to a fox party and he's so done with everyone and then someone (definitely nicky) puts on alphabet aerobics by blackalicious and everyone is trying to rap along and failing miserably and andrew is ofc mocking them and kevin (who is v.drunk) bets that andrew cant do any better and ofc the others get in on this and andrew is ready to stab someone and neil asks and just '542% josten' and then busts out a fucking flawless alphabet aerobics with the most apathetic expression ever and everyone is just stunned because holy shite the monster actually bloody did it. later he trades neil a childhood story for the fact that he started memorising really complex songs as a kid because it was something to focus on during the bad times
*He likes when people describe places and scenery to him, even though he has been blind his whole life. It helps him feel at ease and more connected to the world.
*if he hasn’t met you before, he will touch your face to visualize what you look like in his head. He often times still does it to Velvet or Coco because he likes the shape of their faces and how contrasting they are to one another
*he likes to feel independant and that he can move on his own, but he won’t mind if you hold his hand in a large crowd as he can get lost easily.
*he doesn’t realize where half his scars are so when asked, he shrugs it off as if to say “what scars?”
*he memorizes the sound of people’s voices, specifically his leader’s, because he needs to determine room placement. (And because he thinks Coco’s voice is particularly attractive)
*he takes all his notes in an audio recording, but often times fast forwards through “useless bits of information” (namely Port’s class)
*hugs make him trust you more, several reasons why:
A-you’re close and personal and he knows where you are
B-he likes the warmth and the feeling (but will never admit it)
C-he is able to tell the shape of the person better.
