By the time they returned, the fringes of dusk had painted the sky in shades of blues with the occasional wisp of orange colouring the underside of the numerous, fluffy cumulus that decorated the horizon. The Jōnin had barely dragged himself free from the vestiges of one concerned Uchiha obaa san [’leave these young-ins to me’, ‘how is that kunoichi friend of yours?’ and constant ‘best settle down sonny. Why when I was your age---’ ] before the encroaching nightfall found him on the streets once more, mulling over the content currently resting in the brown paper bag tucked under his arm.
What was it again? Boil chicken broth and add the herbal concoction from packet labelled ‘A’. Let it simmer before sprinkling kami-knows-what from the envelop labelled ‘B’? Or was the sprinkling part before the boiling part? Mattaku. Obito’s grandmother had been so thorough, too. Cue a restrained sigh as he made his way down a familiar, leaf littered path winding all the way towards Kushina’s lofty quarters. The Namikaze had left here by her sickness-riddled-lonesome in haste, with promises of quick returns and instant ramen cups to ease her misery.
He hadn’t been able to find ramen, though perhaps the red-head would be willing to find solace in the bundle of fresh mochi Uchiha obaa had stuffed somewhere in the paper bag, along with the herbs. Said bag jostled against his side as he paused to open the door.
“Tadaima.” No answer - to be expected. Hopefully, the kunoichi was still slumbering from where he had left her; draped all over her messy futon as if the world was coming to an end.
The woes of barely ever getting ill, ne?
The blond deposited his burden on the kitchen counter before meandering towards her room, guided by the faint static of her chakra. It was a little surprising to see the huddled form of the Uzumaki instead; cocooned by crimson and uncharacteristically still, sans the occasional raspy inhale. She didn’t seem to acknowledge his entry, and if it weren’t for the steady spasm of her chakra--
“Kushina?”
Now was hardly the time to assume the unsavoury. Silent footfalls brought him closer, brows knit in concern as tan digits gingerly found her shoulder and he tried again, tone almost tentative. “Ano...Kushina?”
Odd. There were no lingering presences about - no signs of forced entry either, since none of the protective wares he had set had been triggered.
@fox-mother answered ;
“Hello there Ino-chan,” She said happily, “What’s the matter?”
The young genin looks at the beauty of this woman with hazy, dreamy eyes. “Her voice is kind, too...” she mumbles to herself
“Kushina-san I wish you were my mother. Imagine your and my father’s gene sets together, I would have been born a dream!”

Just straight passes out.
@fox-mother liked for a Minato starter.
“I wonder how Naruto’s doing with the test...”
Minato had made certain that Naruto would get a good shinobi teacher and who better than one that he taught himself. Still, Kakashi was known for how many genin he had failed. Not that Minato disagreed with that choice, but he just hoped that Kakashi kept in mind who’s son he was dealing with. After all, Kakashi was using the bell test that he learned from him to test his students.
The shinobi glanced over to his wife, “I know where they’re taking the test at if you want to watch~” From the bushes of course since they weren’t supposed to be there. Still, it was quite tempting to witness the action firsthand, even if it wasn’t exactly a good call on his part with his title as the Fourth Hokage.
“I was feared once. I want everyone to know that -- I destroyed whole villages...” It’s okay, Kurama.....we know.

It was not difficult to know which clan this little one came from and it reminded Tobirama of his fiance mentioning a little girl with red, red hair. Not many among the village had this kind of crimson hair, like the brightest of flames, warm to the eyes and eye-catching in a way that was like the ivory locks decorating his own head, falling down his crown in a wild mess. Tilting his head at her, Tobirama observed the youth for a few seconds before deciding to talk with calm features directed at her. “ Have you come in search of Izuna, sapling? “
Has a roleplayer ever changed your view on a character? If so, how? Good or bad? For better or for worse?
everyone i interact with for the better??? is that a valid answer?? i love reading other people’s interpretations of their characters and they’re always teaching me new things about the character I hadn’t considered before and making me love them even more! tbh before I started this blog I didn’t know much about Izuna or Tobirama in terms of backstory but @kxshikoi and @izunaisms have developed them so well and taught me a lot about them as characters! and I love @obselene’s Madara being a hoarder of all the Uchiha and being overprotective mother cat its beautiful. And I, of course, love your Kushina so so much she’s so fierce and kind and you do her so much justice!! <33 I could go on all day honestly aaa!
