Hey, I'm not sure if you knew this, but the image you used in the emoji post for the ASL word for lesbian is a bit outdated. That way of signing lesbian is kind of derogatory, the correct way to sign it is the L handshape with only the tip of the index finger touching your chin. I'm sure you didn't mean anything bad, not a lot of people know much about LGBT+ Deaf culture. I just wanted to let you know though, hopefully you'll understand where I'm coming from.

Thanks, about 20 people in the notes of that post pointed out alternative signs for lesbian and I appreciate that. I’m HoH and I learned the sign in the post so it seems like the new ways are still making their way into common use, always good to learn new signs!

hey i know you probably didn't know this but that lesbian emoji post is kinda bad because the book they posted uses the outdated sign for lesbian that's pretty derogatory now. the correct sign has only the tip of the index finger touching the chin. i'm just super exhausted of seeing people spread that (like there was an su post with garnet doing that a while ago) because it's misinformation that gets wildly popular. i'm not upset at you or anything, though i thought you should know.
