YES! My actually rare pair.

It came up when me and @mallowstep were discussing gay options for Jay because he sees no chemistry in Kestreljay (the fool that he is), and I think this is the best possible gay pairing for him if we're discounting the WindClan boy.

So, what I find most appealing about it is the contrast personality wise. Foxleap is the kind of energetic, endearing goofball that would worm his way into Jayfeather's heart and help him come out of his shell. I also imagine shades of "stop getting yourself hurt all the time dumbass" as Jay nurses him back to health.

While secret gay medicine cat romance is nice, I actually think it works better with warrior apprentice Jay AUs, actually. I can see them developing a sort of friendly rivalry and improving together from it. Jaypaw may grumble initially because his insecurities would make him reluctant to call a younger apprentice his rival, but over time they grow fond of each other.

I also don't know where I picked this up from, but I like the idea that Foxleap really looks up to her mom and that when he was younger he wanted to one day be a nursery queen but was really disappointed to find out he couldn't get pregnant so.

Picture this: a warrior Jay AU with Fox/Jay and Cinder/Holly. Cinder and Holly ask Jay to be their surrogate father (why not Lionblaze? maybe he and Cinder didn't work out and it'd be awkward to ask him, but it doesn't really matter) and Jay agrees on the condition that they split the litter and let Foxleap be a nursery queen. When Cinder gives birth to a litter of four, they honor the agreement and let him have his pick of two kits.

I tend to think of Jay as someone who wouldn't like. He wouldn't think he'd like kids but when he gets attached to them he's very good with children so. Dad Jayfeather being very cute with his kits and his husband teasing him about it.

(The kits of course all know they're full-blooded siblings and even if based on the split they get more attached to one set of parents over the other because the kits are all communally raised anyway I'd imagine they see all four as their parents.)

Skyclan's med cat Foxfeather (dark ginger tom with black spots and green eyes) and his girlfriend, the Riverclan leader Badgerstar (tortoiseshell smoke molly with brown eyes)

Foxfeather- A kind and gentle tom. Foxfeather will always make sure his patients are as comfortable as possible, and he will always do the best he can to comfort any patients, especially young ones, that may be scared, he even has a short lullaby to sing to the kits that his mother taught him. Foxfeather knows that his love for Badgerstar breaks the rules but he doesn’t care, he is a dedicated medicine cat and he has been for moons, he trusts that StarClan understands he can love both his clan and Badgeratar without it interfering with his duties, 15/10

Badgerstar - A courageous and intelligent she-cat. Badgerstar was a fine warrior that quickly rose up through the ranks before she became leader. She is powerful but also merciful on the battlefield, and she often strategises in a way to ensure the least amount of blood is spilt as possible. Badgerstar does her best to ensure RiverClan and SkyClan remain on good terms in order to allow her relationship with Foxheart to continue. She knows some may consider it wrong but this relationship is hurting no one, she loves Foxheart, and she knows he loves her and that’s all she needs to know, 14/10

My two ocs Foxfeather and Polterghast

Foxfeather is a she-cat that basically looks like Dovewing but with less fur and more neck fluff,a bit taller,has black freckles, and has green sightless eyes.

Foxfeather is a blind pregnant medicine apprentice of Homoclan despite being 18 moons old.(someone told me that equals 22 years old in human years) She used to be a kittypet named Foxy but she left because she got bored of the lifestyle and wanted to go on adventures.

Despite being a blind queen she refused to lie around in the nursery, then to wait to give birth she sneaks away to have adventures. She hisses and snaps at anyone who tries to help her because they see her as a helpless, blind cat.

Polterghast is pure white albino she-cat.

She just appeared in Homoclan one day and spends all day and night lying on the tree branch. She doesn’t participate in either warrior or medicine cat training or sleeps in the dens like everyone else she pretty mysterious.

She’s either spirit ghost or Starclan cat but she won’t tell you the only answer she’ll give you is ‘I’m a regular cat’.

Weekend Roundup

Friday was another hot day, but at least had no fire evacuations. I had some time after work to get Tiabeanie to the dog park. She missed it on Thursday due to...well the fire alerts. This however is the park that was only a street over from that evac route, and most people seemed to still be avoiding it (or the heat) so there were no other dogs there during a time when there usually would have been. She mostly spent her pent up energy enjoying different patches of shade.

Saturday morning felt like a full day all on its own considering the amount of laundry and food prep I did to get the house ready for a visit from my aunt and uncle. After a nap and their arrival, the rest of the day was much more relaxed.

Plus! Andrew got the mail and in it was some pins I had kickstarted from @foxloft I LOVE these and I'm so excited to now have a female kestrel pin to match the male from the previous set <3

Sunday was a baby shower (and the reason relatives were in town)! Got to see a lot of folks I haven't seen in years and made the mother-to-be cry with my gift to her (yay?); an illustrated copy of Sara Kay's poem "B" about mothers and daughters. I'm glad it was outside, and also that outside wasn't terribly hot, because I was able to bring Tiabeanie and she had a good time getting attention from humans and giving probably too much attention to the ground squirrels at the park.

All in all, a great weekend of visits all around, with great food too! The homemade pizzas and sliders on fresh baked rolls made having guests in the tiny house a little bit easier to handle honestly.

A request from my website; characters are Foxfeather of Windclan and Wolfheart of Thunderclan, meeting in secret underneath the cover of night at the border. Not all to happy with the shading, but I’m still proud with the way it came out.
