[OOC] New Followers + Fanfic
[So I just noticed that I have three new followers! Glad to see new faces here, hoping to interact with you sometime, although you have to forgive my rustiness in rp-ing. I’ve got another Mistral, a femme-liquid and a MGS2 Raiden following me now. How fun. I don’t follow back using this blog but if you see a user named “Amadeobeloved” follow you then that’s me!
As for the fanfic, I just decided to write something out of the need to exercise my writer’s muscles, so I hope you all like it. I’m also open to fanfic prompts :D]
Hi, alternate me! ((You have no idea how long I was waiting to do this.))
/squints
This is... Unnerving.
I just wanted to meet you when I'm not in Ocelot's body! But I suppose that was too much to ask! I'll be going now! If you want me I'll be at Foxhound!
Solidus watched the woman, and felt his the grip of his blade handles under his fingers. He could kill her, right now… save himself a lot of trouble. Deal with her superiors, if she was a spy, when the moment came to pass.
But, the daring side of him won out. The game was to complex too end right now. He would wait. He would watch. Harvest what info he could. And then, when she proved useless, she could be… removed.
Solidus felt the fingers around his blade handles slip, and he merely watched, confused yet contemplative, as he let this woman leave.
*rolls her eyes, putting the revolver away* I can't prove it. After all this is a new body, my old one is dead and gone. Even if I showed you my old dog tags, you'd claim I stole them from the body. But maybe this little titbit will help. After all I know for a fact that hardly anyone knew this although maybe he told you. I love him. I'm in love with Revolver Ocelot and I know it's twisted but it's true. And my identity matters to you because you are my brother after all.
“…what? If you love Ocelot, you must be more insane than I assumed.”
This revelation only complicated Solidus’s viewpoint on this person more. He narrowed his thought and decided she was either mentally unsound or unnaturally brilliant. Perhaps she really did have feelings for that traitorous son of a bitch, or perhaps this was all part of a long game. An attempt to fool Solidus in some grand fashion.
Could it be that… Ocelot was behind this?
Ocelot… traitorous, cruel, calculating… a man that the perfect clone very much wanted to see dead. Even if, in a warped way, their goals were… somewhat similar.
If he was the cause of this deception… why? What would he stand to gain?
Or, perhaps he was merely paranoid. Perhaps this woman was merely mad. Either way, he had two options; one would be to dispose of her. It would leave an effective message to her superiors if she was a spy, and it would give Solidus some peace of mind again is she was just a lunatic.
The other would be to monitor her, and perhaps reap more information if she was indeed what Solidus assumed.
The clone scowled. Either option was tricky. He’d have to decide soon.
“I tire of this nonsense. Again, what do you want?”
The right proof, huh? Well, I think Ocelot must have told you about this. *draws out an engraved revolver, but doesn't point it at Solidus* Adamska gave this to me when I first joined Foxhound. It was his first revolver, the one he took up after papa told him he would suit a revolver.
Solidus stared at the revolver… and yes, he recognized it. He spent a large chuck of his youth pouring over the CIA files on the Virtuous Mission and Operation Snake Eater. Major Ocelot was what he was known then, and he did indeed meet Big Boss. Furthermore, Adamska was the name Ocelot gave Solidus when he once served him… but he could scarcely trust any information Ocelot, of all people, gave him. Regardless, this woman knew her facts… yet nothing that proved to Solidus that she really was the person she claimed to be.
Not only that, hearing Big Boss called papa was surreal. This Liquid, even he or she or whatever even was Liquid, had to be deranged. And hardly helped her case that she really was his sibling.
“Circumstantial evidence. Nothing more.”
Regardless, it was a fascinating discussion nonetheless. What was her angle?
“Assuming you are who you claim, which even now, I doubt, I hardly see how that matters to me.”
This body is a clone, a mixture of both Big Boss's and Eva's DNA because my DNA is too similar to yours, Dave's and father's. And if you want proof that I am who I say I am, then how about this? After I died on Shadow Moses, my second-in-command, Revolver Ocelot, took my arm for himself. As revenge, I possessed him whenever my Solid Snake, was near. After he escaped the Big Shell, Ocelot replaced my arm with a cybernetic replacement and pretended I still possessed him through hypnotherapy.
Solidus regarded those words carefully. She knew… quite a bit of the circumstances of Les Enfant Terribles project’s sons, yet even then, that was just knowledge anyone with powerful connections could obtain. It was concerning…
Was this a ploy? Was she… some sort of Patriot spy? Solidus could not be sure. And that was dangerous.
“…you know quite a bit, and yet… I am still unconvinced. Knowing the right people… serving the right masters… could have gotten you all that intel. Give me conclusive proof. Now. Or else I’ll assume the worst.”
You don't recognise me? I am Liquid Snake in a new body.
“And you expect me to just believe that?”He scoffed, and crossed his broad arms over his powerful chest. Already, he was losing patience.
Although, considering his resurrection, perhaps it wasn’t too far a stretch…
