Currently on my 78th, but I’m hoping to get to at least 80 by the time December 31st rolls around.

16. What is the most over-hyped book you read this year?

Already answered with Queen of Nothing, but I can add one more: Five Feet Apart - I hated it lmao

22.  What’s the longest book you read?

Crescent City, at 803 pages

24.  Did you DNF anything? Why?

I did! Whenever I don’t enjoy something, I’ll DNF without a worry in the world haha. This year, it was these books: Crier’s War (I got bored and didn’t care about any of the characters), Luckiest Girl Alive (reading the N word on paper, written by a white author and with zero condemnation for it in the text, and a story that didn’t seem to be going anywhere), This Splintered Silence (great idea, good writing at times, poor execution and a disjointed story)

Aloe Vera: Ocean, River or Lake?

Lake definitely!  My family has a house on a lake up in NH, so I essentially grew up there.  The ocean is too salty and sandy for me.  Rivers are okay, but I prefer a big, open lake.

Basil: Can you cook? What is your favorite dish to make?

I can do very basic cooking and it usually comes out edible.  My favorite thing to make (and the one that probably comes out the best) is quiche with ham, cheese, peppers, and onions.

not a silly question!! it’s an event thing i started last year to close out the year and celebrate the holidays bookworm style. this is the announcement post for last year i had several people tell me they want it back so i’m doing it again! the big idea is to recommend a book everyday for 25 days :D
