Reality was torn a tsunder creating a gap to an all too familiar place for Shadow after having visiting limbo with Lio. And through this gap came a shadowy creature coated in black fur and gold markings with jewelry to match.

"Perhaps you carry yourselves with confidence and an air of mystique" he suggested with deep crimson pearls meeting Shadow's own.

The jackal stood at a modest 4 feet with a firm yet curved athletic build. Slender, with large claws and a bushy tail.

It was a rare occurrence in the job of infiltrators that one would run into themselves, but for one such infiltrator he always seemed to have this sort of luck. It was supposed to be a simple job: get in, get a disguise, look around for information, and return to base. But to Masquerade it could be anything but simple. It was times like this that it was easy to slip up, to make a mistake. Add this to the fact that his cover was blown so easily by the one he was copying only made things worse...

Taking a step back, the copycat Tails stammered, "I- I'm not here to cause trouble."

Masquerade was a darn good infiltrator, and an even better disguiser, but when it comes to actually talking to people that 'know him', that when where he cracks most often. It’s the eyes at first that fail, flashing between the disguise and the true ones underneath. Focus, concentration, and most importantly, a healthy mental state. Without those even the best disguises can fall apart under a little pressure. His was holding, but for how long was anyone's guess.

Taking another step, he followed up with as disarming a statement as he could muster, "I... I am afraid to be myself right now. You seemed so calm and cool at the store, I hoped that if I looked like you, perhaps I wouldn't need to be afraid."

The second thing that crumbles for Masquerade is the wall between truth and lies. With her nerves as shot as they are right now, he is far too willing to spill his guts to the guy he should be lying to.
