Jack was on a path of self destruction it seemed nothing would be able to stand in the way of. Not the distance that stood separating him and Saige. Not the pounding in his ears from the blows he’d taken from Ducky and his own cousin only moments before. Not even the bag of ice he held pressed to his jaw could cool of the dumpster fire that was becoming his life choices. He’d been locked eyes with her since entering the kitchen. At first, it’d started as a plea for sympathy, for someone to care about the fact that he’d just gotten quite literally tag teamed in the other room, and not even in a fun way. It felt like the stare had morphed into something else though, as he waited to see who would speak first. “I think Gunner’s upset with me,” he stated dryly. He could think about how badly it hurt him to have hurt Gunner later, could push it off until it consumed every other waking thought. “Think just about everyone at this party is upset with me, actually. What about you, Beaumont? You hate me yet?” @scige
