I just went and caught up on all the Janus art and honestly one of my first thoughts with Janus being upset about the egg and his face towards the 'mirrors breed like rabbits' comment made me think abt how fae also can breed with the same speed. It made me wonder how breeding times work in your lore bc we already know that mirrors and their speedy one equates to rabbits
In my lore, they have relatively the same sort of time spans as they do in canon so like mirrors be short while wildclaws or something are much longer. In this case tho, I more or less mean the gestation period rather than a “breeding cool down.”
Now the times aren’t exactly like the lore - like 1 month or something like that. I like to equate everything to irl human scales. I haven’t done the math since this isn’t something I’ve really hashed out personally but let’s say on average, gestation is 9-10 months like a human. If I were to apply this to the dragon breeds, mirrors might be like, just throwing numbers out here, 5 months while an imp might be 20 - stuff like that. Again, not exact numbers but that’s about the gist.
Would anyone be interested in kids like these?
