New Project Pair: Last Light

I’ve messed around with a lot of different Vigil scries, but none of them have beat this one for me.

Like I said in the other post, this is one of the rarest color combos I’ve seen on site. There’s only 2 dragons with these colors; one of them is a g2 imp and both seem to be in dead lairs. No other way to say it: this’ll take me a very long time to get.

They gallop across the lands of Sornieth with bright orange flames licking at their heels. In all the colors of burning embers, they glow in the light of the dying sun as they race to welcome the dawn of a new year. Bright blue tongues of flame lash through their manes and wings, signifying their origin in the most extreme of the world's depths and a temperature hotter than dragonfire. They wear the mark of the eclipse they were born under - the Ring of Fire.

To see a Blue Flame Cirrus at the emerging of a new year is a sign of incredibly good luck for the year to come.

Hatchlings

This nest was made specifically to celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse!

Lunar New Year's Day 2026 begins with a special eclipse called an annular or Ring of Fire eclipse. To commemorate both the Year of the Fire Horse and its Ring of Fire beginnings, every Blue Flame hatchling will have:

A fiery Eclipse tertiary

Blue flames in the mane or wings

The colors of fire or burning embers

Exclusive, original artwork (see banner at the top of this post!)

False Ivy's, is a small subspecies of Aberrations previously native to Wyrmwound; which now reside in the Highland Scrub of the Shifting Expanse. Despite being short in stature compared to the rest of its species, its consistently weights heavier than most Aberrations.

They have a shorter but more muscular body, with larger paws, stout wings and two distinctive spotted fur patterns. The most striking feature of the False Ivy's is the nest of vipers living on the top of its head to the base of its back. The color of these vipers range from dark blue, greens, yellows and browns.

They mainly inhabit savanna's, from its forest to its deserts within the Shifting Expanse.

These dragons are apex predators, and hunt by ambushing prey through mimicry of native bushes, scrubs and vines. When prey of any kind wonders close, the dormant vipers spring awake and strike. Injecting the prey with Myotoxins causing immediate paralysis.

False Ivy's travel in pairs and keep the same mates until one of them passes. When a pair produces a clutch, they find other couple and raise their clutch together as a form of cooperative breeding.

Sadly. You cannot do that anymore. Because my hatchery thread about the White Babies got taken down (and my account got a warning over it). WhiteBoy and WhiteWoman (along with an unrelated color-named-dragon) had their names removed. They are now Josh and Karen. I have one last round of hatchlings coming in 2 days, but they are all spoken for.
