This is my entry for @neko-bituin / @fractureau DTIYS! I love lilac already and really wanted her an Pearl to hold each other just like 🥺

My OC is Kunzite (I made a main form and also a swimsuit form since they’re going to be in the sea spire) who I created specifically for this and since I love creating characters, I also made her an entire backstory for her type of gem, where they sit in the gem empire, personality etc. I’ll type this all out below if anyone is interested:

Because I think the Pink court would hold the creative gems of gem society, I made Kunzite who’s purpose would be all to do with textiles like interior design (with banners, curtains, cushioned furniture, etc.) and fashion. Although gems don’t wear ‘fabric clothes’ there would still be fashions in their forms. The Kunzite would be the fashion designers of gem society.

Kunzite would be very extroverted as they are always trying to find out the newest fashions and crazes, so they would talk to most all gems -regardless of class- to find out common opinions that different gems have. They would be very friendly and excitable- though this sometimes make other gems uncomfortable.

Kunzites are upper-middle class (probably just below sapphires- so high enough to own a Pearl) -because they have have a lot of connections to high class gems for designing their personal quarters, and also designing grand buildings like theatres and museums.

My Kunzite is Kunzite: facet HW56, cut 7EA. Because she was made on Homeworld in kindergarten 56. Her design was inspired by Lolita fashions; her bum bag holds things like tape measures and fabric samples; and her summoned weapon is a pair of scissors that can fold into like a dagger. Their height is about up to eye level of a Pearl.

The biggest difference in this AU is that Ruby fuses with Pearl instead of Sapphire. Very interesting!! You should all give this comic a read! (If you are a Steven Universe-fan, of course)

I originally just wanted to sketch out potential concepts for future pages or silly ideas as a break from the comic. Just a reminder—nothing is CANON unless it appears in the main comic series. That said, I still enjoy the freedom of drawing whatever I want with the Fracture AU, so this felt like a nice compromise :)
