Rakkata “The Grey Flame”
A very large and dangerous fallen fragon (a wild dragon who had a rider at one point) who used to have a rider at one point, a Nakau-Val at that, but fled after his rider’s death. He was considered weak at birth due to his silence and the fact he wasn’t as brightly colored as his siblings and with training not making him any easier to manage as he grew older. This eventually led to him being chained in the lower caverns of his Atenka before he was claimed by Namarus, his first and only rider.
In the pre-Schism years, he was a a big threat to villages and cities as well as travelers, with him swooping down to burn everything he could and eat his fill though sometimes he was said to do it for fun... He loathed Mudokons (and even his own kind) due to his bad treatment during his youth and from being forced to fight *their* wars and watch *their* silly squabbles over even sillier things when all he really wanted to do was laze around with Namarus or travel with his Nakau across Mudos.
After the Schism, he was spotted flying overhead by a Fangustanian merchant with several unofficial sightings across Fangustan and Mudos. After that, The Grey Flame was never seen again and fragons were finally accepted as being extinct.
Very recently ,a cryptid known as ‘Oddzilla’ (named after a deity in Glenlak mythology) has sprung up near the Fyssel Isles due to various attacks on sea rex’s and even larger animals and even ocean vessels and these attacks are getting more frequent especially in the past few weeks. Wonder if that’s related to our supposedly extinct fragons?
