Sonic is Japanese Rooted
This is a video from Pariah, honestly one of my favorite content creators as of late that tackles why a lot of Sonic storytelling is VERY rooted into Japanese culture and why so many things are the way they are and it honestly made me see even more clearly why I love the series more in the first place.
I still like a lot of US Sonic, but Japanese Sonic is THE one I fell in love with the most when it came to storytelling when the Japanese crew were the ones behind the wheel.
