This striped Moschino waistcoat was first worn by Twiggy when she played Princess Georgina “Georgy” De La Rue in the short-lived 1991 television show 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔. Fran Drescher also starred on the show as Melissa Kirshner, and would later wear the waistcoat during the first season of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑵𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒚.   Brenda Cooper, the costume designer for 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑵𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒚, initially met Drescher while working as a costume supervisor for 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔.
