Jayne Mansfield as Jerri Jordan doing her magic walk in 'The Girl Can't Help It' (1956)
In the film, director Frank Tashlin used his past experiences as an animator, to transform Jayne Mansfield into a human cartoon. Frank said: "I knew Jayne was perfect for a picture I had ready. I had only seen pictures of her, but I knew she would be perfect. When I first met Jayne it was love at first sight. She was adaptable, marvelous, eager. She was an instant hit here in the press, with newspaper and magazine interviews scheduled around the clock. Our picture was a big success."
