Do I want to make Dorothy just a tiny bit lighter? I think I want to make it just a teensy bit lighter.
It's been a busy week!
Current nails. I keep them short or else I tend to bite them.
This is a special shade... I made it!
I mixed some pigments together to make this lovely Smackdown blue. And yes it is deliberately Smackdown blue. Want to hear its name?
"Shane O Mac-Down"
It's named after that one quote from when he was GM. I have an entire series of custom nail polishes based on WWE stuff.
Anyway I just wanted to share!
I tried to make a nail polish to protest the current state of WWE affairs. I was aiming for absolute POOP BROWN
I got a lovely mahogany instead. THEN, I tried to make Olive Drab for my Sherlock series. AND I MADE ABSOLUTE POOP BROWN IN THE PROCESS.
Ahh... the trials and tribulations of a frankenpolish addict.
The poop brown I DID succeed in making by accident, I have named... “The Whims of a Madman” It is meant to be the worlds ugliest shade of nail polish. EVEN UGLIER THAN OPI AND APPLE PIE. It is poop brown with a hints of forest green. I feel like tweeting pics @wwe and being like “This is what I think of you”. I probably won’t. But who knows.
So I’m Making A Line of Franken-Polish
I’m not telling anyone what my MAIN polish line is called because 1. it isn’t clever, but 2. I don’t want my name stolen. But I’ve been organizing my Frankens into Collections, like a real polish company.
Anyway, one of my collections that I am working on (and is almost done) is the “Mac Attack Collection” which is entirely based on Shane McMahon. The colors are as follows. I have FIVE finalized versions, a few that need remade, and two that are just concepts at this point.
RSM01 - No Chance In Hell: Black with Red Highlights RSM02 - #Posse4Life: Glossy Gold Metallic Chrome Shimmer RSM03 - What’s Up, Vince?: Bright Flaming Orange Mega Shimmer RSM04 - Here Comes The Money: Green w/ Gold Shimmer and Glitter RSM05 - Acrophilia: Sky Blue with Blue Highlights RSM06 - Through The Plexi-Glass: Intentionally Splotchy Blood Red. V. Creepy. RSM07 - Daddy Issues: Jet Black Mega-Holo RSM08 - Walking Ad For Jordans: Clear Base with Black, Silver, and Red Glitter RSM09 - A Dance With The Devil: Royal Purple Jelly RSM10 - Silver Stallion: Silver Super-Chrome RSM11 - Shane O Mac-down: Smackdown Blue Shimmer RSM12 - Best In The World: Black with Heavy Green Shimmer
Some of these colors changed from the concept stage due to what I had to work with not being what I had hoped it would be. For Example - Originally, Shane O Mac-Down was supposed to be a Blue Creme, but the pigment I used had a large amount of Shimmer and it was a beautiful shade, so I kept it. Overall, #1,3,7,11, and 12 are finalized. Technically, #6 and 8 are also done but I have hesitations. I’m pretty much happy with 8, but that splotchiness for 6 is bugging me. Yes it greatly adds to the “Blood” effect that it doesn’t apply perfectly and has an uneven consistancy. But to be honest, that splotchy, uneven finish is ACTIVELY creeping me out when I wear it. It LITERALLY looks like you have bloody nails. Not just blood colored. ACTUAL BLOOD. I think I succeeded a bit TOO well on that one. #4, 5, and 10 I completed, but I’m not happy with. and finally #2 amd 9 are just concepts at this point.
Anyway, I know that is way more than any of you wanted to ever know about my Frankening habit. I just figured I’d throw it out there in case ANYONE gave a hoot. I have bottle pictures of the finalized ones, but I’ll hold off on posting for the time being. Anyway, if you find this sort of thing interesting, drop a like!
Oh, and if anyone is wondering, I had to use google to find the term “Acrophilia”. The definition is basically “An addiction to heights”. That’s my favorite name of the entire bunch!
My last mani of the year: Glitter galore.
This is a “frankenpolish” that I made with a sparse glitter topper from Kiko and a lot of holo glitter (bought at Glitter Unique, they make really good stuff). I named it Glitter Galore for obvious reasons!
The second pic is blurry on purpose so you can see all the pretty holographic sparkles. Happy New Year, everybody!
