So I dunno if you’ve already spoken about this or not (I’ve desperately tried to catch up on your timeline but MAN there’s a lot of asks lately lol), but what’s your opinion of Gran Torino? Because I see a lot of BNHA fans absolutely roasting him and I don’t really get why? I actually really like him as a character, and was surprised to see so many people hating on him, especially during the current arc in the manga. Sure, he roughed Deku up a bit during his internship thing, but it wasn’t any worse than what he goes through at school (it actually seemed like a bit of a break in comparison, really). But yeah, just curious on your thoughts??

Gran is, in my opinion, kind of in the same category as Recovery Girl. Like obviously a decent hero in their day (motivations aside), obviously have a lot of information and skills still to be passed on to the next generation, but they both absolutely have poor execution on a lot of things.

I am, in general, not fond of how most of Izuku’s personal teachers treat him.  But I do know that some of the Gran Torino salt seems to focus on his back story and issues with Nana and Gran’s outlook on things.

I’m gonna be real with you though, I don’t really care about him all that much. Like he gets ghosted and the only reason why it would upset me would be if it upset Izuku or All Might.  I can take him or leave him.

I have no idea what the untamed is about, and I’ve not really got the energy to watch it right now (though it’s at the back of my mind to watch at a later date), however I just wanted to let you know that I am very happy to see them pop up on my feed whenever you post. I’d never heard it! I have to admit I kind of cracked up at the first line because I was expecting Super Sad Indie Folk Rock and then the first line is like “I threw your keys in the water” which is such a funny way to describe a breakup.

I, too, am grateful, since I found the one for my timezone that way. Kind of wish it were every 30 minutes instead of every 15, but either way it's useful as heck.

I think they’re automated -- you could probably send them an ask (if they check their inbox) and ask about setting up a half-hour one.

If it makes her feel better, you can tell Deebs that if I didn't already know she was there and she attacked my ankle from that position, she 110% would make me yelp. +10 camouflage and sneaky points, Dearborn.

Yeah, she gets me ALL THE TIME with this move -- those paws were originally meant for me. She hides under there while I’m fixing dinner, then when I sit down to eat she reaches out and grabs my heel just before I sit :D

How do you do it??? I scrunch mine up in a ball and shove it in my bedding drawer. :(

Ignore the elastic edges of the sheet and focus on the corners like you would any other blanket. You have to stick your hands inside the sheet to make the corners come to the proper point and that’s a little fiddly but otherwise it’s not too hard.

It won’t fold into a perfect square but it will fold flat, which saves a lot of room in the linen drawer, especially if you have multiple sets of sheets.

Bah! Just when I think I’ve left a fandom, you pop up and hit me over the head and drag me back in. I love the sound of your Naruto!AU, too right he’d be the best god damn sensei Konoha has ever seen. And you know that he’d been treating the kids to ramen every day too, and Ayame and Teuchi would obviously adore Naruto’s genin’s! I’d love to see sasuke come back to konoha and see that Naruto has just completely forgot about him and is too busy doting on his team to be bothered with him.

Teuchi and Ayame are over the goddamn moon about Naruto’s team because they practically helped raise Naruto in a distant sort of way and they’ve seen that boy covered in blood and tears too many times to count, seen cruelty and indifference aimed in his direction over and over again.

It’s good to see someone else, 3 someones in this case, offer that boy love with no strings attached.

The Sasuke situation is and will always be complicated cause it’d depend on how far the AU diverged from canon but either way Sasuke would undoubtedly be hella fucking jealous that these 3 little hellspawn have pretty much 100% of Naruto’s attention and devotion.

Because once upon a time so much of that attention once belonged to him.  And Sasuke misses it even if he refused to admit that to anyone including himself.

I’ve seen a lot of people on here that are saying that we need to stop complaining about AE and just enjoy the film and its making me feel like a complete idiot. I saw it 4 days ago and I still feel like shit about it. I know it’s just a film. I really get that it’s just fiction, but it’s ten years of my life that I’ve been following these films and reading the fics and now I just feel lost. Any tips on how to feel like less of an idiot for caring about fictional characters?

Fuck those people.

We’re entitled to be as emotional and/or invested in Endgame or whatever other media as we want to be.

It’s not just a movie to me either, it’s 10+ of my life too and it’s had an enormous impact on me as a person.

My best advice is to literally just ignore them.  Enjoy and consume your fiction/media in whatever way that you like, to whatever degree of intensity and emotional involvement that’s natural to you.  As long as you’re not hurting anybody in the process then no one has the right to complain at you about it.
