When I first read MOA, I thought that Octavian framed Leo in order to get the romans against the greeks, which honestly, would have made more sense than random body possession
Honestly I feel it would’ve made more sense if there’d been some like- lead up. Like people behaving weird for brief periods in previous books. Percy jumping at someone with gold eyes for just a moment. Gaea mocking them about not being able to even trust themselves- just little hints at what was going on that led up to the big reveal of “Oh shit, Leo didn’t just fire on us, he was forced to”.
