We had a big fire overnight on the Fraser River - a barge of shredded recycling material, perhaps wood chips from the river lumber mills, or broken-down household or industrial goods, not yet clear. I could see the fire from my apt overnight, and it's still smoking away this morning. It hasn't been on the news so far, but the Eagle-Eyed Redditors are on it.

Apparently New West and North Surrey smell awful this morning, and I can attest that Coquitlam and Burnaby are also getting nasty smells. Since a wood chip blaze wouldn't smell *that* bad, I am leaning towards assuming it was industrial goods. @hollygl125, @mia-ugly and other folks, not sure if you are near there, but that's what up. May be a good day to stay inside.
