Fetch bursts into the VHS repair shop like a person bursting into a VHS repair shop (because some statements require no hackneyed, bull focused metaphors). A tiny chihuahua is rattling in her cradled arms. She shoves it into his chest and dives behind the counter. Urgent panic:

          “Hide the dog! Hide the dog!”

Is he seriously laughing? Fetch speaks with a bite:

         “It’s my dog-in-law.”  That’s total bull (some do).  “I’ll die!”  Also bull (hopefully?).  “Come on!”

     ‘ jay, you’re going to get scurvy. you and your ... ’ what should she be calling them? ‘ -- associates. ’ summer is half-grumble, full-concern, welcoming herself to a seat in the extraordinarily decrepit green armchair by the door. as she does, she lobs an orange at jay at a height that is vaguely chest-level. there are more in the muslin drawstring bag at her feet. 

     ‘ you die, i have no one to fight for recommending me some truly reprehensible movies. ’
