Ancora Alberi. 1022. (Fraxinus ornus L.)
Plant of the Day
Wednesday 13 November 2024
This specimen tree of Fraxinus excelsior 'Jaspidea' (ash) had a fine display of autumn colour and when the leaves have dropped the golden-yellow young shoots that are characteristic of this cultivar will be revealed. Due to Hymenoscyphus fraxineus (ash dieback) a lethal disease of this species there are legal restrictions in place regarding both the importation of ash from abroad and the movement of ash plants within the UK.
