Are your OCs inspired by anyone in your real life?

Yes actually! Though they have evolved a great deal and are hardly recognizable anymore.

Etana, one of the main seven, was created after a friend of mine died in high school. He was always super passionate about stuff and had a fire in him that just couldn’t be doused. When Etana came together in my head she was a fire user who was determined to do what she thought was right. I gave her the female version of his name, Ethan.

Frayda, Cato’s mother, is based on my own mom. She is really loving and kind to everyone but she is fierce beyond measure when push comes to shove.

Oliver, another of the main seven, is based on my sister. She could take over the world if she didn’t have to contend with her three year old attention span. She can sass your head off and always knows which words you don’t want her to repeat, but she’s really great. Not coincidentally her favorite color is yellow and that is Oliver’s as well. His name is the male version of her’s, Olivia.

Introducing the Head Czar Family!

Cathair is the Head of the Family, a highly influential and powerful person in Thrae. He takes the welfare of his family and territory very seriously, along with keeping with the old traditions.

Frayda is Cathair’s wife along with having a close and intimate relationship with Zena. She is the grounding force of the family, keeping the many polarizing ideas and personalities from fracturing their bonds.

Zena is a famous historian and Archeologist who likes spending her free time with Frayda and the Czar children, who call her Aunt Zena. She and Cathair have a mutual understanding to get along for Frayda’s sake. 

Catheld is the firstborn and heir to the Czar family. He has been trained since infancy on how to one day take up the mantle. Until then though, he enjoys attending parties with Castor and running underground businesses.

Castor is the second born and as such, he partook in the same level of education that Catheld did, though he will not inherit the mantle. His favorite pastimes are meeting new people, pulling pranks on his siblings and playing cards. He has won several popularity contests for his charming personality.

Cato is third born and eventually sentenced to death for being a tiger, though he does escape. Before his first shift, he had a well-rounded education where he excelled at music, particularly piano.

Caterina is the only daughter, quite rare in lion Andr families. She was never betrothed at the request of Frayda and learned the same subjects as her brothers. She was cast out when she became a leopard Andr. Despite her hot-headed and know-it-all manner, Caterina is rather naive about the world.
