"Well, well. The King of Darkness." The Thing pops a borrowed pinky between its lips. "And what exactly is it that brings you to this forsaken place? Are you perhaps seeking the same artifact as I?"
Ganondorf felt himself grow tense at the sight of the young woman standing before him. Despite similarities in appearance, this was not—could not be—the Princess Zelda. An illusion, perhaps, conjured by a spirit from beyond… there were a number of explanations for the abrupt appearance of the girl he had sought to capture for years, though he did not so much as consider that it might be something far more sinister dwelling within the body true Zelda. In any case, this was a creature he did not have direct control over. Any monster outside of his power was a danger, and Ganondorf brought his hand to rest on the hilt of the sword at his side.
“There is only one artifact I seek,” he said, thinking of the two missing pieces of that holy object that had escaped his grasp years ago. “Though what a thing like you could be searching for I do not know. You would do better to wander off back to whatever plane of existence you were borne from. I do not take kindly to tricksters.”
