the spirit could only smile softly at the brunet, the look on his face not changing. if there was one thing he knew how to do, it was use the puppy dog face to his advantage. and, it seemed to be working. so far, anyway. which was good enough for him.
『 ❝ depends on if it really works for me. ❞ 』
he just wanted to spend some time with Hiccup. it had felt like ages, only because Jack had been busy juggling Guardian duties and winter spirit duties with bringing winter to places that needed it.
❝ You know, with DRAGONS as soon as you start giving them everything they want when they give you the puppy dog eyes that starts to make some BAD HABITS. ❞ Hiccup explained, brow quirking and a half smile tugging at his lip. But Jack was certainly no dragon and it’s not like Hiccup hadn’t missed him while he was off being a big, important Guardian.
❝ Alright, YOU GOT ME, I’ll mess with these tail fins later. ❞ Not that it was really any contest of what was better worth his time. At this point messing with fins was something to pass the time in a long day, nothing absolutely necessary.
❝ If my poor dear friend couldn’t possibly live ONE MORE MOMENT without me brightening up his day then BY ODIN I’ll have to go and do just that. Wouldn’t want him to go dying from a lack of very important Hiccup time.. ❞
