Hot Issue || Jiyoon + Wonshik
Wonshik strode eagerly down the worn path in the camp, having already paused to wonder how many people had to walk on the earth for so long before their impression not only choked the plantlife out of a specific line, but turned it into this dusty monstrosity that he walked upon currently. He had to stop to ponder that first, so he could walk along it moments later with no qualms, though he did stop once for a butterfly, and once more as he wondered about macaques. Did they live in this portion of Japan? He really loved monkeys.
Anyway, he had adapted easily enough to the nocturnal lifestyle, since he had spent much of his time in school unable to sleep in the dead of night, because something could crawl down from the ceiling in the darkness, or slither through his window. Self-medication had the unfortunate side effect of throwing off his internal clock, so taking pills tended to come in that brief, lingering moment of clarity between paranoia and ‘shit-I’m-getting-paranoid,’ and thus he still had a bit of a flair for doing his business at night.
He had opted to service a food tent that night, rather than perform, and had left with his trusty camera for a lunch break that he didn’t really need, seeing as he had been sneaking sweets all night, but he desperately wanted some pictures of the eccentric people he lived with in full costume. Oh wow, he had only seen a few thus far, and sure most of them didn’t like flash photography, but he just had to have some.
Having already harassed a few after shows, he walked along, not paying full attention to where he was going, too focused on trying to remember who was where, as he tried to remember the powers. Fire, water, earth, air… Some of those didn’t sound right. Would fire or air even show up on film?
It was certainly up in the air.
But in his distraction, he had been weaving clumsily through the crowd, bobbing to and fro, and it really had been a matter of time until he would run into one of them. Luckily for him, it hadn’t been a hard collision, Wonshik being slightly jostled into dropping his camera, something that caused temporary panic until he remembered dirt likely wouldn’t scratch anything.
“Oh, dear.” He laughed to himself, eyes crinkling up into crescents as he looked at the girl he had so rudely bumped into, “I’m so sorry about that. Are you alright?” Wonshik wanted to lean down to grab his camera, but he could only imagine how much more rude that would appear if he tended to that over her. And it wasn’t like someone was going to steal the camera trapped between two people. This could likely be wrapped up quickly, and even if she was mad, at least the circus was big enough for him to disappear into a crowd, if she was really unhappy.
