don't know why I can't reblog @freckledrey post, but here's my answer to the last reply, cause fuck I really want everyone to read this.
fiction can affect reality to a certain level.
I repeat it. Learn to draw a line, life is not books and shows. Out there we got REAL life, problems, issues that actually affect all of us and go beyond a fictional story. I can assure you this.
You think too much about how fiction may affect reality that you come to a point you wrote "fixing it with your AU so you don’t feel bad about what it is in reality" you chose the word “reality” to describe a show when it’s actually not reality at all, even tough a show can represent in its own way reality, it is just a show. Yes in my head, like every other fan, I’ve created over the years the possibilities of a future for Sansa and Tyrion, my own AU because I’m a fan of the books and the show, is it wrong? No cause I’m not making up things about my life or others, I’m inventing and creating something in my head about characters I grew to love, about pages I read and weren’t enough. It’s for my pure entertainment, my pure liking of Sansa and Tyrion as characters, on the books and on the show (12 years Sansa/24 Tyrion, sorry to me this is the gap, different opinion)
As everyone knows GoT tries to represent our surrounding society throughout a show set in medieval times and I agree about the portrayal of young girls wronged through Sansa (not only her) that’s why I’m hoping for a stronger storyline for her, for her strength and vengeance to come out, for her to become a woman of great intellect ready to face her enemies; at the same time I’d love to see her meet again Tyrion, for her to see again the man she was forced to marry but whom she didn’t hate, to confront each other, to tell each other all the things, Sansa mostly, could never bring themselves to say. This is the reason why i’m interested in these two, cause their marriage was forced, but they didn’t hate each other, it’s a dynamic different from Sansa forced to marry Ramsay.
Is this AU? Yes, but are these events affecting reality? the ones in thoughts? my imagination is so affecting? I don’t think so, cause other than being in my mind and on tumblr, rambling with other “shippers” ,these thoughts stay here.
Relationships in medieval times were wrong, we all know that. It’s a fact. I guarantee you I’d never ever support this kind of relationship in real life. I would never do it. Because I know it’s real life and it’s wrong. Because I do have a brain that actually works and can perfectly understand that there’s a difference between real life and fiction. Because fortunately I’m not a horrible, disgusting person as you said in your post. I’m 24 and I’ve learned how to not mix real life with fiction. That’s why I can enjoy things I’d never support in real life.
I’m not saying you have to like Sansa and Tyrion, you have your own opinion like I have my own point of view and it’s fine. My only problem is that you can offend others with your post. Do not call horrible and disgusting people you don’t know, it’s really rude and out of place.
