Freckles Anyone?

These little guys called out my name while roaming in the gardens this morning....had to photograph them.....

A wild violet-Freckles.  Native to eastern North America.  Noted for lots of pearly white flowers  with deep purple/blue spots or freckles.

Easy to grow. Loves the shade, and will seed freely in the garden and spread quickly. The flowers are edible.
