Forbidden Forest

(Protective! George Weasley x reader)

The idea has been living in your head for weeks. Unicorns have been sighted deeper in the Forbidden Forest than ever before, their silvery glow visible even from the Astronomy Tower on clear nights, and you want to see it up close. Tonight the full moon hangs low and bright, bathing everything in cold, ethereal light, and you can’t resist any longer. After the common room quiets and the last seventh-year stumbles up to bed, you pull on your warmest cloak, tuck your wand into your sleeve, and slip through the portrait hole alone into the cloisters.

The castle corridors are silent except for the soft pad of your footsteps and the distant hoot of an owl. Your heart thrums with equal parts fear and exhilaration as you ease open a side door and step into the crisp night air. The grass is damp with evening dew, crunching faintly under your school shoes — unfit for this kind of activity — as you cross the grounds toward the dark treeline. You pull your robe closer to yourself, teeth chattering with cold and nerves. Every shadow seems alive, every rustle of leaves makes you pause, but the promise of seeing a real unicorn propels you onward.

What you don’t realize is that you’re not truly alone. George Weasley, in fact, had been sat on the stairs of the common room, reading a magazine while waiting for Fred to get out of the shower after Quidditch practice, passing the time by watching you fidget with your cloak for the last half hour. The moment you disappeared through the portrait hole, he was on his feet. At well over six feet tall, with the broad shoulders and solid muscle earned from years of swinging a Beater’s bat and lugging crates of prank supplies, he should have made plenty of noise— but tonight, he doesn’t; he moves with surprising quiet for someone his size, long legs carrying him swiftly and silently as he follows your trail into the night.

He tells himself it’s just common sense. No one should be wandering the Forbidden Forest alone, especially not after curfew. Especially not you. You and George had formed a quiet friendship — perhaps something more — over the course of this semester. He doesn’t know how he didn’t spot you before this year, but now, you often shared tea over the fire late in the evening as you unwound from the day. Being the less boisterous twin, George relished in the moments you spent in quiet companionship after a long, hard day of pranking. George was too shy to admit that he was developing feelings for you— both romantic and protective for his small, sweet girl.

At last, you reach the edge of the forest and pause, letting your eyes adjust to the deeper darkness beneath the canopy. Moonlight filters through in pale cones, turning the mist into drifting silver ribbons. You take a steadying breath and step between the trees, wand tip glowing faintly with a whispered Lumos.

The deeper you go, the more magical it feels: dew-laden spiderwebs glittering like diamond nets, the distant call of unfamiliar creatures, the rich scent of moss and earth. After what feels like hours— but is probably only twenty minutes— you push through a thicket of brambles and step into a small, perfectly circular clearing.

There she is. A unicorn stands in the center, bathed in moonlight. Its coat is impossibly white, shimmering with an inner silver radiance, and mane flowing like liquid starlight. Her spiral horn catches the glow and throws it back in soft rainbows. It lowers its elegant head to drink from a tiny stream, completely unaware of you. You forget to breathe. You take one careful, reverent step closer, then another, desperate for a better look. Suddenly, the unicorn’s head snaps up and its ears flick. In a heartbeat, it wheels and vanishes into the trees, hooves making the faintest of sounds on the dense forest floor.

The silence feels wrong. A low, guttural growl rumbles from the underbrush on the opposite side of the clearing. Branches snap. Something large and furious crashes toward you, eyes glowing yellow in the dark with claws glinting as it lunges. You raise your wand on instinct, but shock slows you. The spell dies on your lips. Then, the world moves in a blur of heat and strength.

George gasps and explodes into the clearing like a force of nature. His long legs close the distance in two powerful strides. One muscular arm— thick from years of Beater training— snaps around your waist with unyielding force, hauling you backward so hard your feet leave the ground. He spins you both in one fluid, protective motion, slamming his own tall, broad body between you and the charging creature. You collide with the solid wall of his chest, the impact knocking the air from your lungs for a moment, but his grip never wavers.

His free hand is already up, wand steady despite the adrenaline surging through him. “Stupefy!” he roars, voice deep and commanding as your head is squashed to his chest. A brilliant jet of red light erupts from his wand, striking the beast square in the chest and hurling it backward into a tangle of roots and branches. He doesn’t stop: another spell follows, then a glowing shield charm that flares bright blue around you both, his arm still locked possessively around your waist, holding you flush against him.

The creature thrashes once, snarls, and then flees, crashing away through the undergrowth until the forest falls silent again. Only then does George lower his wand, dropping it on the floor with a silent thud. His chest rises and falls heavily beneath your cheek; you can feel the rapid thud of his heart and the heat radiating from his body even through layers of robes and knitted jumper. Slowly, he turns in the circle of his own arm, keeping you tucked securely against him as he scans the treeline one last time.

His large hands— calloused, warm, gentle despite his previous fury— slide up your arms to cradle your head, tilting it so he can search your face for any damage. At his full height he towers over you, the moonlight catching the sharp line of his jaw, the worry etched into his freckled features.

“Are you hurt?” he asks, voice low and rough, thumb brushing softly across your cheekbone as he holds you at arm’s length and scans your body for any obvious injuries. “Are you?” He sounds desperately concerned

You manage a shaky nod, still reeling. “I’m fine, George. I’m not hurt. Thank you.” You pause as he sighs. “Did you— did you follow me, George? What are you doing out here?”.

He freezes, then, a faint, sheepish smile tugs at the corner of his mouth, but it doesn’t quite reach his eyes: he’s not fully content with your safety, yet. “Saw you sneaking out. Couldn’t just let you come here alone, could I?” His hand moves to the back of your neck, fingers threading gently into your hair as if to reassure himself you’re really unharmed. “Bloody hell, when I saw that thing coming at you…”

He trails off, pulling you fully into him again. This time the hug is slower, deeper, as his long arms wrap all the way around you, one hand splayed across your back, the other cradling the base of your skull. He lifts you slightly without thinking, pressing you against the solid strength of his chest as though he could shield you from the entire forest if he tried hard enough. You feel completely enveloped: the warmth of him chasing away the night chill, the steady rise and fall of his breathing, the faint scent of polish and fireworks that always seems to cling to him.

“George— you’re crushing me,” you half laugh, half choke. He instantly lowers you to the ground again, still keeping you tightly to him as he mutters an apology.

His lips brush your temple as he speaks, voice softer now, almost a whisper against your skin. “You scared the life out of me, you know that? Don’t ever do this again. Not without me, anyway.”

You pull back just enough to look up at him. Moonlight paints silver across his red hair and the sharp angles of his face, making him look both boyish and fiercely protective at once. You think you want to kiss him.

“Next time you want to chase unicorns in the dead of night,” he continues, the grin finally breaking through, “you’re taking me with you. No arguments. I’m man enough to give them a proper scare if they bolt again.”

You laugh— shaky but relieved— and he answers it with a quiet chuckle of his own, the sound rumbling through his chest into yours. He doesn’t let go, not yet. Instead he keeps you tucked safely against him, one strong arm banded around your waist, the other stroking slow, soothing patterns along your spine as the forest settles into quiet around you.

“Come on, let’s get back to the castle before Percy realises there’s students out of bed and blows his top,” George says, beginning to turn toward the Castle again. Under George’s wing, the vast, star-strewn sky feels even more full of wonder.

Mothership Connection peaked at #13 (#4 on the R&B chart), also selling more than 1 million copies. It has been called "the definitive Parliament-Funkadelic album," and has been listed as one of the best albums of all time (Rolling Stone, VH1).

Summary: the day after doing "it" for the first time, y/n scrambles to get dressed and loses her purity ring. Little did she know, draco had it. And wasn't planning on giving it back.

I got out of bed and began to get dressed buttoning my white shirt up and putting my skirt on.

After that, I grabbed my Hufflepuff tie off the floor and through it over my shoulders. I didn't want to tie it right now.

I thought I was all ready when I felt that my sapphire purity ring I always wore wasn't on my finger.

"shit." I whispered in a panic.

Draco was sat against his head board, he hands behind has head. He a smirk plastered all over his face.

"have you seen my purity ring draco?" I said in a panic.

"even if I did, why do you need a purity ring when your no longer what they deem as pure" he sarcastically said.

"I need it because my parents gave it to me and if they saw me without my purity ring, they'd kill me," I explained to him.

He laughed a little than from behind his head he flashed the ring.

"you little bitch," I joked.

His smirk was bigger than ever. He was enjoying my anger.

I walked to the side of the bed he was on and tried to grab it but he moved it quickly.

"Draco! Seriously." I groaned. My frown had a little smile behind it.

"how about we make a deal. I can wear this ring on a necklace till you go home, than you can have it. But till than, I get it," he negotiated with me.

"And why do you want to wear my purity ring around your neck," I questioned.

He snickered than said,

"because than everyone can know how I fucked you after the party last night."

My face became red as a strawberry, I was flustered by his words.

"aww, I got you all flustered. Didn't I?" He laughed.

I covered my face, trying to hide his embarrased he was making me feel.

Draco took my hands off my face and made me look at him, staring deep into my eyes.

"you didn't say no to my idea so I'm gonna take that as a yes."

"fine draco, you win." I sighed as I admitted defeat.

He grabbed the chain from the side of his bed and put the ring on it, than put the chain on.

I will admit, he did look hot wearing my ring on his neck. But now everyone in the school will know I lost my virginity to Draco Malfoy at my first ever party.

Draco stood up from bed and I remembered he was naked.

Staring at his figure as he got dressed slowly.

"take a picture darling, it will last longer," he joked.

I rolled my eyes and stood up. Than I walked over to him.

"I'm going to head back to my dorm, I probably worried my housemates," I said softly.

He nodded and put his hand on my cheek, than pulled me into a soft kiss.

Once I pulled away, a big grin appeared on my face.

The next day, I walked past him the hallways, the necklace shined brightly and brought him a lot of attention. And me too.

He began to play with it and look at me, smirking and looking back at his friends.

He's was very proud of what he did to me yesterday night.

And I'm happy he did it.
