Yesterday vs. Now
Pt. 2
'Fred , u next ,' the plump woman said .
'I'm not Fred , I'm George ,' said the boy . 'Honestly , woman, call yourself our mother ? Can't u tell I'm George .
'Sorry ,George , dear.'
'Only joking , I am Fred ,' said the boy , and off he went .
My lovely sister and I decided to buy matching aloe vera plants (mostly because I didn’t think I had the patience to grow one from seed😞)
But aren’t they adorable?! We named them Fred and George. Because they’re twins!
Unfortunately George took a bit of a tumble on the way home. So we youtubed it right quick and dove headfirst into harvesting aloe leaves. It was SUPER gross. But also really really cool. It looks like clear rubber or lumpy jello or something else super artificial. Except that it’s not artificial, nature does that!! Naturally! It blows my mind.
I’m pretty sure the leaf we cut wasn’t the optimal size for harvesting. And I was so grossed out by the goo covering the gel I ended up using a spoon to scoop it all out. But it was a lot of fun. I highly recommend it 😊
Did you know the plant covers the cut within seconds?! It’s super cool.
QUOTE #0459:
Dear Fred, Mum had to throw out the family clock, it hurt too much seeing your golden hand on the clock point to 'traveling' and seeing mine point to 'lost'. I hope you're travelling to see me Fred because I need my other half. I need to be home again. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. Don't forget me Fred. Don't ever forget me. George

spouse: Which of these Harry Potters stamps should I use to mail that thing to Human Resources?
me: Dobby. Definitely Dobby
me: Got anything I can use for the sympathy card I have to send my cousin?
*looks at stamps*
spouse: How about. . . wait, no. Why not. . . oh god that's terrible.
me: This isn't going to work is it?
spouse: I might have a War of 1812 stamp.
me: I'll take it
