Some designs for Raggedy Ann characters that I did a year ago, most of these characters are obscure but I wanted to do designs for them

Frederika is my new 18 inch doll from Zapf Creations brand. I'm so happy to have her. Zapf is an old German brand of dolls that I only learned about this year, and I bought this "Friends of Babycakes" doll not knowing much about them. They're very inexpensive secondhand, and so I felt like it wasn't too much of a risk to see how well this girl worked as a modern character and a friend to my other dolls. I always like being pleasantly surprised by new or unfamiliar brands, and it was definitely a surprise to see how high quality she is. Her skin is a very soft, velvety, and lifelike vinyl that none of my other dolls have. Her eyes open and close. Her joints at the neck, shoulders, and legs are so smooth and hold poses really well. She truly is beautifully made.

Her face mold vaguely reminds me of Gotz dolls, but of course they're not affiliated with each other. It could just be that both brands are based in Germany, and take their inspiration from dolls made there in the 19th and early 20th century.

Frederika's original name was Elisabeth but since I already have an Elizabeth, I picked out a new name for her that would reflect her German heritage.

In her original outfit, minus her little neckerchief. As you can see, Frederika has an all-vinyl body. Her proportions are a bit different than American Girl and other cloth-bodied dolls, but for the most part they can share each others' clothes.

Some of the lovely little details. Her dainty shoes and stockings are my favorite part of her outfit.

wlw moments I'm manifesting in yr season 2

Mention of Malin's fiancée (in my head they're engaged, but I'd settle for mention of her as Malin's girlfriend too)

Rosh to share some of her wlw hoements (hoe moments) with the boys - I'm talking recapping a 36 hour lesbian "date", how she swiped right to be a couple's third on tinder - but then about how she starts to fall slowly for one of the women on her soccer team and is freaking out because she's done the casual sex thing but hasn't done the feelings thing before and you bet my boy Simon's all over it helping her through the icky feewings

Frederika is a cottagecore lesbian and Stella is a chaotic good bi queen and they've got a little somethin' somethin' going on

Linda identifies as bisexual, though has only ever had sexual / romantic relationships with cis-men - this is a very real very valid queer experience. No bi erasure on this TV set !!

The Queen - hear me out - had a femme-presenting paramour in a previous life (her own experience at boarding school?)

Vaguely related but whatever Sara's attraction identity may be, can we have a little Ace realisation from her? Acknowledgement of her vibing with grey-Ace or demi-Ace terminology?

Our palace PR lady, Farima, is serving boss bitch ((affectionate)) lesbian energy. You just KNOW she has a wife at home, maybe a young kiddo and a puppy. She's the breadwinner working gal and she kisses her sweetheart goodbye early every morning, heads in to do a hell of a morally-complex job in closeting the Crown Prince (he's part of her community, but the monarchy is her job security, this is so hard to navigate), then comes home to help her kiddos with their finger painting homework to de-stress before heading to bed and doing it all over again the next day.

Let's have a femme-presenting trans character please. Bonus if they're gender non-conforming / non-binary and join Wilhelm's unlabelled queer cool kid crew. Let's talk pronouns though.

The Headmistress is married to her high school sweetheart, a wonderful woman. An artist, a painter. And what a story they have, because no one knew for the longest time - not because they were really hiding it, but no one looked quiiiite hard enough. It was a different world. They celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary next year.

he/they clem or enby lad clem is semi confirmed! in the camel with the wrinkled knees book, ann and andy look for the french doll and tell henny to stay home because he's the only man left. so does this mean clem isn't a man...? this was probably a mistake but it's a mistake i will cherish forever. probably clem and henny had a really weird time while ann and andy were away, henny trying to run things and clem crying over andy's absence constantly

i was just talking to someone about this! yea in the book clem isn't referred to as a man for whatever reason. i like to think it means clem is a he/they or maybe even gender fluid 👌

henny can't do leader stuff so i'd imagine clem and frederika would still help him "run the nursery" even though most of the work would be calming everyone down...

i don't think clem would cry if andy were absent, he has been before and been seemingly fine with it (though in canon he does get super excited when he returns). the person that wouldn't be able to work under pressure is henny, by far.

gender fluid/nonbinary clem is something i want to think about more... he has been seen wearing fem clothes before in other stories and referred to as pretty while doing so, so y'know 🤷‍♂️
