For this week's Free Pattern Friday, here's something a little different!

This is the WIP of Saga's Sweater from the Alan Wake 2 video game - someone requested it as a commission piece, and I'm thrilled to do so! And, the wonderful folks at Alan Wake even put out a free pattern! (Hence, the Free Pattern Friday!)

I went with the recommended yarn, so as to colour match to the original game as much as possible; and I'm really, really, hoping my customer likes it when it's done!

(I keep hearing very good things about the Alan Wake series of games, and this has inspired me that I probably should give them a playthrough!)

Well, with the heat wave finally over here in Southern Ontario, I don't feel so weird talking about a winter hat for Free Pattern Friday! 😅

Tributary Hat

Free pattern for a women's knit hat with a celtic knot. Loose-fitting with ribbing for a firm hold at the brim. Works up quickly using aran

After all, winter is always looming. (Ok, that came out far more ominous than I intended 😂)

But, the free Tributary Hat pattern is great for if you're planning for holiday knits, or, just need to knit yourself a new winter hat before the weather starts getting cold again! It's a fairly simple design (the most complicated part is picking up for the hat after the cables), and only uses one skein of aran yarn, so it's great for stashbusting, too!
