An audio recording was left on Internationale’s phone. Something sent automatically in case something happened while Decker was out on the field. It was standard protocol for people to have wills made and ready in lines of work that were difficult and dangerous but this… this was different.

     “… Hey… Internationale. Sorry if you’re hearing this. Looks like I screwed up. Screwed up real bad. I was told that recording this might help me out, made me feel stupid at first. But then again, I didn’t really have anyone to make this out to. Well… that was until I met you.”

     “Damn, that probably sounded stupid. I’m no good at these last goodbye things, aren’t I? Don’t know if you’ll even be getting this, but if you do, well I guess I should tell you that I’m sorry. Again. Sorry for disappointing you. Guess I let you down more than I let myself down. This probably isn’t going to provide you with much comfort now, probably hearing how I got offed. Then again, I never really expected to live too long anyway. Didn’t have much to lose in life, just my own life.”

     “But hey, at least you won’t have to worry about me anymore. Don’t have to worry about me drowning my sorrows at some dead end bar. At least you won’t have to help me into my apartment, watching movies until either one of us pass out. God… I’m gonna miss that.”

     “… I guess… I guess I hope you don’t end up like me… Maria. At least you got something still worth fighting for, right? I hope whatever you’re looking for in life, you find it at least.”

     “Oh, and one more thing. Don’t let Shalem get into my hat collection. I don’t want him stealing any of my good hats.”

((Yeah, they might be adding in “Flavor” to show that Charlie really is in charge now.   But gosh this puzzle stuff has my head spinning... first they change like 80% of Lucy’s lines and then we get bits and bits of story revealed so slowly IM DYIN HERE))
