Very few riders can ever hope to have the amount of influence that Edwin Delarosa had. When Edwin put out a section, it was the dopest. When Edwin bumped a new musician, it was the sound of the year. When Edwin uttered some catchy phrase, every rider from there to Japan can be heard saying it. To so much of the world, Edwin Delarosa is an icon.

Even beyond the things I mentioned above, there is one aspect of Edwin that purely is BMX and that’s the man himself. Even though Edwin is one of the greatest to ever live. He’s not livin the high life of Bentleys and MTV appearances, hell he’s not even beyond getting dropped by corporate sponsors. He is still living the struggle of being a BMX pro and that same struggle can be seen in BMX industry as whole. To be something big and recognizable but not be treated as such. Google is defining an icon is person that is regarded as a representational symbol of something. Edwin represents the realities of the struggle within BMX.

Edwin is still on the street level. He’s still that New York kid with a quick mind to make that quick hustle just to survive in the harsh realities of livin in the city. That’s what makes Edwin so real. This ‘All Day’ section is quite a treat a mix of soul and NY rap, very Ed.
