The Baby Box University

The Baby Box from The Baby Box University is an incentive that is inspired by the Finnish Baby Box, where expectant mothers can receive a starter kit with 33 items for the baby, including outdoor clothes, indoor clothes, sleeping products, hygiene products, and a bed box. The baby box is made out of cardboard and has a mattress to make it a bed (baby lounger) to your baby. For 80 years, Finland's parents have been given the baby box by the state, and it has helped Finland to achieve one of the world's lowest infant mortality rates. The main purpose of using the cardboard box as a bed is to avoid Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Here in the US, we have The Baby Box University or Baby Box Co., created to support parents and provide parent education with rewards. The courses available on their website are free and rewarded. As you complete the first course on Safe Sleep, you can take a quiz and get rewarded with a Baby Box. The Baby Box University is also good because it is a comprehensive learning community for parents to learn about fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum and early childhood development.

How do I get a Baby Box?

You just need to go to their website, click on Get Started to fill out a quick form to join Baby Box University, listen and watch a total of 9 minutes of Safe Sleep classes, take a quiz and Voilà! You get rewarded with a baby box! Then, you fill out shipping address and wait around 3 to 4 weeks to receive your reward. You will have 3 options to choose from, the baby box, the Safe Sleep Bundle, or both.

Important details The Safe Sleep Bundle is sent totally free of charges, no shipping fee or anything. On the other hand, the Baby Box has a $19.99 shipping cost, while both items would be $24.99. What I choose to do was ask for both the Safe Sleep Bundle and the Baby box separate.

What is the Safe Sleep Course about?

It's pretty self-explanatory. The Safe Sleep course teaches parents how to put the baby to sleep safely in order to avoid SIDS as well as the safe options to put a baby to sleep. They discourage co-sleeping and advise you to provide a place where your baby will be free from any hazards (blankets, teddy bears, sleep bumpers, pacifier holders, anything that can cause suffocation) and instruct you to keep your baby sleeping on its back.

What's inside the Baby Box?

The baby box from Baby Box Co. is not as fancy as the Finnish Baby Box, but it also fulfills its purpose.

This baby box comes with sleeping clothes, mattress cover, samples from their partners, health information, and coupons.
