Pizza fix...

Guys.  Pi Pizza is only at Catbird's on select nights now, instead of their old Thurs - Sun. and I miss my pizza fix :/  I was there last weekend after the Pan New Year's party at Josh and David's house.  We got the Phnom Pen Pal and something else... Been a little while so my memory is fuzzy, plus, y'know...booze.  It's been a while since I have posted. I take so many pictures of my pizza at Catbird's and vow to post on here but by the time the morning comes I forget what I said whilst drinking.  Eh.

Hey there. So this slice #7. That brings me to $56/120, almost half way there.

This is the Napa Valley Girl pizza. Its pretty good. Its got like port cherries and arugula and gorgonzola cheese. It was pretty good but I'm gonna be frankly honestly, it just wasn't my bag. I am not a super huge fan of mixing sweet and savory flavors (for the most part). I'm sure this is a pizza that others will really dig, but not so much for me. I'll get something else. What else about today? Well I played d&d last night with Josh and James and Emily and Sean. Had a really good time. We got thrown into a battle with a couple if critters that were way out of our league (largely because we were not cooperating with what the DM wanted us to do). I thought sure we were fucked. Proper fucked. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zy7OdvPvFyU Anyway, a bunch of crazy shit happens and we killed a dragon. Woohoo! I also bought a new shower head for my bathroom shower today. It is one of the detachable kind. I was tired of having to stand on my tip toes in the corner of the shower in order to be able to rinse off anything below my waist. The food truck park seems pretty alright. They seemed to be doing a pretty steady business when I went by today. Poor Anthony was freezing in the truck though. He said that being in there is a lot like hanging out inside a metal shipping container. Even with the oven going, it just doesn't retain much heat. Maybe I should get him some long johns for Christmas. That would be weird, wouldn't it? Maybe I should not buy underwear for my pizza guy.

This pizza looks like shit with a filter, and we were so hungry I forgot to snap a photo until we had already gobbled up a ton of it....Sorry!  Anyway, they changed up the Bawk Bawk last night and added pomegranate seeds...and also took away the cool name :(  Thor got that while I had the American Classic 4 - Sausage, Sopressata (I think), kalamata olives (I know), peppers and cheesus.  Fucking delicious.  However, I am now itchin to try For all my Friends after David AND Josh basically condemned me for not getting it the first go round.  $24/288 for me and 16/240 for Thor for those keeping track...David!  Who will beat us all to the paid for tattoo goal.  I'm not so much worried about it, tattoo was worth the money alone, the free pizza is a fucking sweet bonus. :D

On another note I have been sick as a dog this last week and out of work the whole time due to it.  Vomiting, sinus infection, chest congestion, ear infection and a blocked salivary gland.  I have never even heard of blocked salivary glands before, I thought my lymph node was just swollen.  As it turns out, the Doctor prescribes sour candy to reduce the blockage. WHAT?!  Yeah that's right...I got prescribed candy by my doctor.  Uhfuckyeah.  So I spent three days now munching on Sour Lifesaver Gummies and no one can say shit!  It worked too, after the first three gummies it was down noticeably and now there is just a tiny little mass left.  Still not gone though, so darn it all, I guess I gotta go hit the candy bag some more.  Peace.

No photo because I am a fool and forgot to take a picture of the pizza last night. I had the For All My Friends pizza last night. Hands down, the best slice if pizza from there yet. This is slice #8 for me which puts me at $48/120.

So this slice of pizza. It is called For All My Friends. This thing had mint and cheese and toasted hazelnuts on it. I was honestly a little skeptical when I was ordering it but I am the adventurous type. The mint actually balanced against the sauce really well and then the hazelnuts were pleasant, crunchy surprises as you were eating. Fantastic. Super oily and will make a mess of your hands but well worthy it.

I met Josh up at Catbirds for this slice. We stood around and talked for a while, solving all the world's problems between us. Man, we got shit figured out. Now if we could just figure out how to get everyone to listen to us.

I ended up staying up pretty late and having a few drinks but I am stoked for an amazing day today. I am gonna hang out with the Counter Crawl crowd a little bit, go to a Polyamory and Feminism reading group, and then I have tickets to see Kanye West this evening. So stoked for Kanye. Then I am seeing Andrew WK tomorrow. Its like all my best dreams are coming true.
