I WANT A NEW LAMB OF GOD ALBUM.
I've had enough. This is too much to take. I know I don't have to go back to Prague and face difficult shit myself or prepare myself for being put behind bars for something I didn't do, BUT I HAVE HAD ENOUGH. And so has Randy.
I want a new Lamb album. It has been over a year since the last album came out. I have heard every Lamb of God song so many times - I am getting sick of it now. I want new shit. It is absolutely immature and selfish of me, but I can only care so much.
No, actually, I do care. A LOT. A FUCKING LOT. Why is a new album not even in the thoughts of the band these days? Why is that documentary film taking forever to come out? Why are there no new brainstorming jamming sessions like there always are, after a tour ends? Why are people missing out on Lamb in Metalfests?
The Prague mishap. Yes, a fan got killed. But tons of other fans like me are GETTING KILLED RIGHT NOW because we miss the band too much and HATE the fact that Randy and the rest of the band are being put under that kind of pressure and that level of twisted situation. Daniel N. is KILLING ME.
Am I heartless to be saying this? Sure, as a fan of Lamb of God, Daniel N. himself would never have wanted to be the reason for so much shit for the band. Of course his actions were naive. Had he known that he'd lead to this shit - he'd never fucking attempt doing what he did. But only if he had read Lamb lyrics carefully, he would have found ONE HELL-WORTH OF A PREACHING - Actions have consequences. To me, he was careless enough to try diving on to the stage. I'll cut the Dimebag reference part. Connect the dots yourself.
Why is Randy being put through all this torment? Why is the rest of the band being put through all this torment? Why are fans like me being put through all this torment? When you read all the statements from the respective members about the mishap, you realize they are JUST TOO GOOD TO BE SCAPEGOATED FOR THIS. You are aware about things Randy says through his Instagram. I mean, there are so many notorious artists around the world who have done sick shit DELIBERATELY and have gotten away with it, nice and easy, and still get called "inspiring legends". <<Insert Michael Jackson child abuse reference here>> Also, here's the part where I rage against the STUPID "Randy is a killer" memes being made all over the Internet. The people who are making them seem like scarred Michael Jackson victims anyway.
It sucks how Randy is being scapegoated for this tragedy. Think about the charges he faces - 10 years of imprisonment. Will that bring Daniel back from the dead? HELL, NO. Is Randy an avid murderer and should be kept behind the bars for others' safety? HELL, NO!
I hate to point out, but all the band members (excluding Willie) are in their FORTIES now. Mark Morton once tweeted something about NOT touring in his fifties. And that time, trust me, is NOT far away. I am a die-hard fan but I haven't been lucky enough to see the band live ever in my life. If the death of a fan is going to lead to NEVER SEEING THE BAND LIVE - I guess that'll lead to the death of another fan - ME.
I am done bearing up with all these negative thoughts. Many fans are in the same boat as me. I have no idea how long this damnation is going to last. I don't WANT a new Lamb album, I NEED one. Desperately.
