ImPulse: FreeSpot, Team Fortress 2

     Today's free game is from Steam. So to get this game you'll have to go to steampowered.com and grab the Steam client. Its simple, go to the site, scroll 3/4th the way down the page and on the right there should be a green bar that says "Install Steam Now" or at the top in the right corner, same green box. Do the normal download thing and now you have a site that you can download game demos and in today's case, a free game. After you have it downloaded type in Team Fortress 2 into the search bar and begin the game download process.

     Today's free game is an awesome online shooter that's been around since the end of 2007. Its a cartoon-esq FPS with 9 different classes (Sniper, Demoman, Pyro) and a ton of guns. Each class gets 3 weapons: a unique primary weapon, a common or unique secondary weapon such as a shotgun or pistol respectively, and a distinct melee weapon in keeping with the character, such as a liquor bottle for the Demoman, a kukri for the Sniper, and a fire axe for the Pyro.there are a few standard modes like team deathmatch, capture the flag, control point (king of the hill) and payload (an escort mission where you drag a mine cart, filled with explosives, to the other teams base to detonate). Its and awesome game and has stood the test of time so go grab it and let us know what you think. I mean, what do you have to lose? Its FREE!!!

ImPulse: FreeSpot, Kingdom Rush

     Who doesn't like a nice tower defense game? simple, fun, and mostly mindless, perfect for boring days at work. Add the word FREE to that and you got a recipe for awesomeness. IGN awarded this game an impressive 9/10 for the iPad version but before it was a mobile game, gamers could play through the entire thing right in their browser. Why should you even bother? For one it sounds and looks great. Toss in a crap load of content expertly-balanced challenges, and your ready for a much better work day. Oh and like i said its FREE!!!

     EA Games is a pretty big name in video game and along with that comes good and bad. A lot of the time people tend to focus on the bad, like the one online code per game, failure with Dragon Age 2, no new true Knights of the Old Republic, but good does come with it. In today's FreeSpot it comes in the form of Command & Conquer. This game is actually still decent, aside from game's incredibly campy and low-budget FMV cutscenes. but what are we to do it's FREE!!!
