Leader of ‘The Art of Jazz with Tracey Whitney’, Ms. Whitney has performed her unique brand of classic jazz and sophisticated soul in venues throughout Albuquerque and in concert for the Santa Fe Bandstand, St John’s College “Music on the Hill, Route 66 Summerfest, the New Mexico Jazz Workshop’s Women's Voices and Ladies Sing the Blues series at the Albuquerque Museum, as well as her Nancy Wilson tribute “Guess Who I Saw Today” at both the African American Performing Arts Center and the Outpost Performance Space. She’s opened concerts for contemporary jazz stars Nathan East, Marc Antoine, Euge Groove, Will Donato, Darren Rahn and Julian Vaughn. An L.A. native who relocated to Albuquerque in 2012, Whitney is a former “Raelette” with the legendary Ray Charles. She began performing at age 11 with her family group, The Whitney Family, and after touring with “Brotha’ Ray,” spent 5 years singing as a soloist in Japan before returning to Los Angeles. Her third CD “Live at the Outpost Performance Space” was a 2017 New Mexico Music Awards nominee for “Best Vocal Performance.” Tracey is the winner of the 2024 New Mexico Entertainment Awards “Top Musical Artist Solo Jazz/Blues” and was recognized with a special 2024 Albuquerque Film + Music Experience award for her “Contributions to Music in Albuquerque”. Tracey Whitney currently performs each Wednesday at The Smoky Note in Nob Hill with Sid Fendley and Jack Hanan.

Oscar Butler is an award-winning blues and indie folk performing songwriter from New Mexico, celebrated for his soulful vocals, masterful delta-style guitar picking, and uplifting, story-driven songs. His music blends heartfelt lyrics, humor, and a warm stage presence that leaves audiences feeling like old friends. Butler’s acclaimed one-man show, Smooth Like Gravy Gourmet Blues Show, features rich storytelling and original illustrations that bring each song to life. A 2025 Telluride Blues Challenge finalist at the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, as well as a New Mexico Entertainment Award winner and New Mexico Music Award recipient, Oscar tours listening rooms, theaters, and festivals across the Southwest, sharing music that inspires connection, joy, and resilience.
