ARE YOU A FAN OF J-BEAUTY SUNSCREENS? DROP YOUR FAVES IN THE COMMENTS BELOW! _______________________________________________________ You may recall a few weeks ago I posted an article on the Skincarma Blog entitled Skincarma Approved: The Best Facial Sunscreen Products. (I’ll put the link in a swipe up on my stories in case you missed it!) There was a single J-Beauty sunscreen in my top recos — the Skin Aqua UV Milk in a light blue tube. When I reviewed the product on my page, I joked that it seemed made from alien technology. The formula was that good…and that innovative! Often I’d get suggestions to try Bioré — another cult Japanese sunscreen brand. There are 2 Bioré facial sunscreen products with a cult following and both have been reformulated just this year: UV Watery Gel SPF 50+ and UV Watery Essence SPF 50+. They come so highly recommenced that I was excited to get my hands on them. As with the Skin Aqua UV Milk, I bought them illegally on Amazon because their high-tech sunscreen filters are not approved by the low-tech FDA. From a texture, blendability, and wearability standpoint, both are quite surprisingly pleasurable. The Bioré formulas contain the innovative UV filter (alien technology!) Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine — that INCI Decoder claims is “worth recognizing as…one of the best sunscreen agents known today. Unlike older UV filters, it's very photostable. It hardly deteriorates in the presence of UV light.” I want desperately to love these 2 Bioré formulas as much as I love my Skin Aqua UV Milk. But I can’t get past the fact that the 2nd ingredient in each is alcohol. And these are the reformulated versions?! Oh, Bioré… ✅@bioreus | UV Watery Gel SPF 50+ / PA++++ ✅@bioreus | UV Watery Essence SPF 50+ / PA++++ _______________________________________________________ Check the Skincarma blog for smart product reviews and ingredient knowledge.
