descientia asked:
“ People have a tendency to rationalize what they can, and forget what they can’t. ”
@freknur —
“Mmmm… I guess so —– if we’re gonna be real.” It’s said with something of a sigh, with a blink back to the apples he’s collecting from the stand ( this one isn’t bruised, good, nor unfortunately does it offer any wisdom more ). Perhaps this is an example of what Ignis has suggested ; perhaps this is Prompto simply not wishing to expound or dwell upon the subject any longer. No matter, he’s willing the conversation to pass, to not rationalize and to forget, and to pass to yet another apple. “Ohhhh, look! This one has a face ; it’s happy to see you —!”
- — — Even with his arms folded across his chest as they were, even whilst typifying the resident killjoy that he often was, even Ignis could not help but crack a smile at Prompto’s irrepressible appreciation for the simpler things in life. ( Even if he was demonstrating Ignis’s statement to a T. )
- — — “ Be that as it may, it will take more than eating precisely one apple each day to avoid trips to the doctor, and so we must allocate some of our budget elsewhere. ” Killjoy Scientia took the uncommonly happy apple from Prompto’s hand and placed it back on the stand. “ Five apples. No more. You may pick out some vegetables as well. ”
